Customer Reviews

Nibbler Tool-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy metal cutting tool This tool works by nibbling 1/4 x 1/16 inch bits of metal. Ideally the tool is held spring facing up so that the little bits of metal can fall out. If you hold it to the side or down it can get jammed with chips (easy to clear). You can cut circles and other shapes in the middle of a piece by drilling a small hole to fit the tool in. I have made a roughly a 3lb coffee can of chips with the one I have, all out of 22 ga cold rolled steel. And I still have the original blade in it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Fret Tang Cutter for guitar techs Guitar builders and techs also use these to cut 90 degree angles on fret tangs for guitars that have neck binding like Les Pauls and PRS. Keep in mind, they need to be modified. Rather than spend $50 for one already modified at a luthier supplier, I made a small v-cut notch about 1/16" past the blade where the fret bead lays in. Cut perfectly. The price is right, it's USA made and for guitar repair you rarely, if ever, have to replace the blade. Tools like these serve other functions outside of common trades.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy little tool I purchased this nibbler to cut out a rectangular hole in the center console of my new car to install a seat heater switch. It had to be right the first time. If I made a mistake the replacement cost of the part I was cutting is over $100.00. The nibbler worked perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy tool for computer case modifiers Does a nice job of cutting out those annoying grills that impede cooling fan airflow in computer cases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This exact tool, minus adaptations, is offered in Luthier supply catalogs for twice the price. I adapted this tool as a fret trimmer in my guitar shop. With a little tinkering, same as the Luthier tool, half the price!
