My heavy duty steel bracket is well constructed, strong and can carry a very heavy load. I installed it myself in my closet along with other brackets to support clothes and had no problem with the installation. I placed a metal bar also purchased at Home Depot across all the brackets and it does the job.

I need a rod like this but one that is closer to 20 inches long instead of 12.5. Does your store...

What is the maximum distance these can/should be mounted? Every 16" on stud, or can they be further apart?

Just what the doctor ordered. Strong, basic, dependable support brackets. Not redesigned as they never needed to be redesigned. Take the ones in the stores out and put these back in their place.

The bracket was easy for me to install. It didn't...
The bracket was easy for me to install. It didn't have any chips in the paint like the other one mailed to me though a different company. I'm a happy camper.
