Hi, I'm new to gardening. I have a small backyard and was hoping to plant different kinds of flowers. How many roses does one plant have?
Asked by: Myra
Roses bloom on the bush branches and it depends upon the size of the plant and how productive it is in general. Most flowering bushes and perennial flowers fully bloom once a year and the blooms last for a few weeks. Some plants, including these rosebushes are supposed to re-bloom, however, I find that the secondary blooms are always much less profuse than the initial big annual bloom. These roses do need to be pruned periodically, look up how to prune roses--and when (at the end of the summer in the fall, and very very early in the spring.) These roses are one of the most hardy and easy to grow. I have numerous knock out roses. With roses, you have to be careful about where you place them--they need a lot of sun and they don't like to get "wet feet." I'm still planting roses, but just this season, I had to replace half of a hedge of knock out shrub roses. The old roses were over ten years old and had gotten too woody and just were not doing well anymore. I replanted new knockout roses.
