Works well. Follow the instructions.
The Korky 2X Long Life Toilet Fill Valve (528X) was a good replacement for my 20 year old failing ball float mechanism fill valve. The adjustability allowed me to dial in the proper height within a few tries. Make sure you use the height locking tab. I didn't on one install and the valve slid lower after a month of flushes and started to run water continuously into the fill tube. Caught early, but entirely avoidable if the instructions were followed. Doh. Construction seems fine and sturdy. I like the new integrated float design and hope it performs well for years to come.

This toilet fill valve is a new model of a previous design that Korky had/has. The problem with this is that it is a PAIN to adjust! That is, if it gets out of adjustment for how much water it is sending to the toilet bowl, you almost have to remove the thing completely to adjust it. That isn't a good option. In the future, I will just be buying the older float style fill valve. This "new technology" needs work!
This is MADE IN THE USA!

Case 60 year old toilet
After trying several type of fill valves for my low-back case toilet, I was just about to give up until I came across the korky X2 toilet
fill valve. Here is a fill valve with no adjustments what so ever. Will it work? All the fill valves I have tried at this point have to be installed at a 45 degree angle instead of vertically due to height restrictions and the float ball modified so it acts like the old style metal float ball. These only worked for a short while. I installled the new korky X2 turned on the water. I only had to make one level adjustment to get the water level where I needed.

After my husband actually read the instructions, it fit! This valve is adjustable, the part he didn’t read! After he found that out, he thought that was a great feature.
Easy to install and came with new tubing from valve. It took him about 30 minutes to take leaky one out and replace with new one. IF he had read instructions, it wouldn’t have taken that long.
Works like a champ! Oh, side note.....hubby said you have to smarter than the valve, obviously he will learn from this, doubt it as he almost 70! Anyway, he said he would purchase one....
With this virus effecting us, we were not able to get this review completed in a timely way

I was late on putting this this Korky 2X toilet filler, but finally it is in and it works great. The install was straight forward and went verry smooth. The instructions were easy to understand and good for any do it yourselfers. The old filler unit was noisy and took over one and one half minutes to fill. (Not good when you need a second flush). The new Korky is quiet and fills in less than 1 minute.

Ok this unit looks good, installed easy. unit is very lite so it is easy to handle. I like that it doesn't have a float arm. I have one concern is that the head of this unit leaks and was unable to stop it. otherwise the product works well. instructions were understandable and easy to follow, so I would recommend this product to a friend. I have nothing else to say.

First product received to test over a week ago. On April 10th, I replaced an older model Korky tank valve with this Platinum 528XL. Directions were very easy to follow showing procedures to take to start and end the project. Time to do replacement was approximately 20 minutes from start to finish. Following step to step on the instruction sheet that was very well done covered all details. Item 3a) described a silver cover which my valve did not have - it was all black. Was able to follow the directions with the picture to set the water lines in the tank and in the bowl. My toilet is an older style that did not have a fill pipe, it was built in the cast. Was not able to use the metal or plastic clip to hold the fill tube. Works great regardless.

This product stopped my toilet from wasting water. The packaging provides easy to follow directions on how to install this product. You can do this one yourself without using a professional plumber. There are many toilet fill valves on the market and it is difficult to make the right choice. I have tried a few and have had to replace them shortly after they were installed. This one is lasting and works extremely well.
