Product Overview

Start projects right by making straight, accurate, splinter-free cuts with your circular saw and the accu-cut circular saw guide track system. It rips, crosscuts and makes angled cuts up to 48 in. long in plywood, MDF and other large panels with super-simple setup, precise accuracy and amazing control. The accu-cut guides your circular saw along an aluminum track that keeps the saw moving in a straight line easily. The accu-cut design makes it simple to set up by just aligning the track with your cut line. No clamps are required to hold the track in place thanks to dual guide strips. They feature an anti-slip coating to prevent slipping and an anti-chip feature to prevent splintered cuts. Plus, the track makes it easy to make straight cuts on sheets that don't have a straight, flat edge. Circular saws don't have effective guides that keep them moving straight along a cut line. Plus, it can be difficult to see the blades cutting path. Together, these things make it challenging to keep a saw on your desired cut. Circular saws also often cause splintering of face veneers. The accu-cut solves these problems. The accu-cut is portable, too, so you can take your saw to the work-piece and cut with precision, rather than having to handle heavy sheets on a table saw. The accu-cut is easy and intuitive for a novice to use, but robust enough for professionals.

Waste of patience and money
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT! The saw plate moves side to side along the guide rail. Upset by its poor performance I broke this product by slaming it on to the ground snapping the aluminum pins. I honestly cannot find a good reason to waste you hard earned money on this. Sure you can use it to break down sheet goods to then refine on a table saw. But you could easily do it free hand and most likely get a better cut, saving material. I will never buy another kreg product again.

    For fast cuts—NOT precise cuts
Like many Kreg DIY products, the concept is clever but the execution is half-baked. The saw sled wobbles and pivots on the track too much to use this for finer, precise cutting. This tool is only suitable for rough carpentry. Ironically, you’ll need a professional-grade saw to use this tool! The first disclaimer in the manual says this tool will not cut well if your saw has a plastic blade shield (Like Ryobi’s)! See photo.

      Nice product! Needs improvement!
Problems I came across. 1. Starting block not flush, it`s like a speed bump, and hampers the cut while starting the sled. Will sand down until I can pull it back and forth with no bump or catching. 2. Instructions could be better on setting up a circular saw on the sled, and adjustments to track. 3. The positioning of the blade 1/32 of an inch to take out that much of the chip board to get to zero was a little confusing. I just positioned the blade flush up against the anti chip board with none of the teeth touching it, locked into place and did the initial cut to get to zero. Worked great! Other than that, I really like this product!

        To clarify....
I purchased this after buying $300 worth of oak plywood and i didn’t want to mess it up cutting down on a table saw. To clarify what others have said, yes there is movement in the track if you move it side-to-side. You have to keep force towards the inside of the track and it will not have that. Sort of like if you were using a fence instead, pressure on the piece you are cutting against the fence. Problem solved. In addition, the aluminum track has a sticky type material on the bottom so it stays put. I was paranoid about it at first and wanted to clamp down the track but as long as you don’t have saw dust under the track (between the work piece you’re cutting) it doesnt move. You can also cut at any angle with this unlike the rip model they make where it follows the edge of your piece. But what if your piece isn’t square! Made in the USA! One other trick i found online, buy a piece of foam insulation and put that under your material so it has support, that way when your blade passes, the foam gets a cut but the piece is still supported. Adjust the depth of your blade so you don’t go all the way thru the foam of course!

          Litttle pricey, but great product..
I have never been able to cut in a straight line with a power saw. This track made cutting so much easier.. Setup was easy, though I cut a bit more than 1/32 of the blue strip.. As for the play in the sled, blue painters tape, as recommended works great. I just measure and mark several places on board, draw a line on my mark, align the blue strip with the line and make my cut. The only time the cut isn't accurate is when I don't measure twice..lol!..

The user needs to know that there is some setup involved prior to making your first cut. The track mating surfaces did not butt together perfectly and needed some filing to both face surfaces. When mounting the universal sled to your saw, you may need to make modifications to your blade guard. You need to ensure that the starting block seats squarely into the tracks, or it can throw your cuts off when seating it against the edge of your board. After trimming off the required 32nd of the edge guide I was ready to make a cut, The Kreg Accu cut worked out fine. The cut was very straight and did not leave a torn-out edge. Of course the true test will be repeat ability over time.

Way too much slop. I didn't even use it for one cut before returning it. The track itself seemed fine, however, the plastic sled did not hug the guide rails and allowed for too much movement at the front and back of my saw (Ryobi Brushless Circular). I had been eyeballing this for a long time and high hopes. Disappointed.

More overpriced, china made, millennial designed junk. I'm Done with Kreg. It won't fit the MAG-77, and I had to cut a brand new Milwaukee saw to make it fit.

The Kreg 48" Accu-Cut Aluminum Circular Saw Track is a helpful and convenient tool. This makes cutting down sheet goods much more convenient and is simpler than having to use a straight edge and add the width of your circular saw's base plate. However, there are some things I would like to change about the Accu-Cut. First, I think the sled that the saw attaches to should be made from aluminum. This would result in less flex, less flex with the mounting screws, and durability. Second, I think the width of the rails that the sled runs on should be wider. Mine can wobble side to side slightly (by about 1/32, sometimes more) which results in the saw blade cutting additional material away from the blue cut line indicator. I now have to compensate slightly (by about 1/32") on the far end of the track because the sled wobbled. One of the things I really like is that the Track does not move when I'm cutting. The material on the bottom does a great job of keeping the track stable. Another thing I like, is that when the saw is mounted, it is stable enough to sit on the edge of the wood and stay in place (see the picture below). This is a helpful feature because it gives you the ability to adjust things, plug the saw in, etc without having the remove the saw and run the risk of moving the track. This fits my 7-1/4" Ridgid Corded Circular Saw well. Overall this guide works fairly well and I will continue using it for sheet goods. That being said, I do not think this is a replacement for an actual track saw because of the higher quality rails, dust collection of the saw, and a better sled mechanism.
