Galling stupidity
The design of this product is defective. I just attempted to join some 1/2" wood, and found that this jig is incompetent. The main problem is that the holes drilled won't even fit the PROVIDED screws. The holes bottom out well before the ocean.

Wow!!!!! What can I build next????
Wanted to build a 72” entertainment credenza/TV stand seeing the prices to buy one. I heard of these jigs before but never used one. I had almost no expectations this would work but very quickly it became clear this tool was going to be awesome. Very easy to figure out and after a few practice holes I was on my way. Built this entertainment center quickly and inexpensively. First try. Extremely strong and sturdy, joints done quickly. Simple. Great value for the money. Cant wait to build something else.

Incredible products! I have two bins of Kreg Tools and love them all. Still waiting for the Kreg Adaptive cutting system to be restocked. Then my tiny little shop will be complete! My last project was making a 'wood cart' for leftover lumber pieces. Now I'm organized!

Damaged on first use due to manufacturing defect
Bought this to build a desk. Bought the kregg jig because they are renowned for high quality on youtube videos I watch so I didn't mind paying extra. I used thick lumber so I set the depth on the bit accordingly using the stop collar. Only, it didn't slide smoothly all the way up so I had to force it (this is with allen screw totally loose). When I went to change the depth today the stop collar was locked in place, even when loose. Had to knock it loose. It is scratched. For some reason the back end of the bit is thicker. I do not recommend this if you are using lumber thicker than 3/4 inch. Very surprised based on what I've seen people say about kregg.

Additional features - this jig is a game changer
I was trying to decide which Kreg jig set to get the one below this one (R3) or the one above with the clamp built in. This one has all the features I need and then some. The ability to detach and space the jigs is a plus (see images) but being able to detach the long pieces that align the jig when drilling on only a single board turned out to be a game changer after I misdrilled and the screw was exposed. The piece was now assemble but I removed the misdrilled screw, and detached the the long alignment pieces (see image 3) and the jig stops against the 90 degree assembled piece the same place as if using the stops on a single piece of wood. So the jig is customizable to work any project.

Recommended with exceptions. I own several Kreg jigs and find them previously well designed and well built. I owned a 2 hole pocket screw jig kit but it had unfortunate encounter with my dog right during a project build. So looking for that exact jig to replace proved fruitless as no one had in stock so I decided to try this version as it looked similar. On this new one, the plastic shell around the pocket screw holes seems flimsy. I liked that you can add a spacer between the two single hole pocket screw jigs which spaced it for use on 2x4 but the little nibs that hold the 3 separate units together were not tight and if you are not carefully watching, this can affect your screw hole placement. The round device that mounts on top to allow clamp holding is now adjustable for varying clamp sizes but it does not stay in one fixed at one size so constant adjustment is necessary. This is functional but frustrating to use. I liked my prior version better.

I bought this in the morning and used it to drill pocket holes into a two dozen 2 x 4s. I was loving it. It was easy to set up and drill holes. I got to my second to last board and noticed that the stop collar on the drill bit moved. I stopped and loosened the set screw on the collar and the collar was stuck. I took it to my work bench and beat it with a hammer. Slid a socket onto the collar and hit it. No movement. I like the old style of drill bit and collar better where you set the collar using the gauge on the case. This new style has the markings on the drill bit. One would think the new style would be better, but if the collar can't be adjusted, then it's not. I'll be returning it in the morning.

I have the larger set of Kreg Pocket-Hole Jig but I wanted one that is more portable that does single and two holes. The Model 320 was the one that will works for me. It comes with step by step how to setup the jig and how to drill into your project. It is really simple to use. There are a couple of nice features that I really like. One Hex wrench tool is also a material-thickness gauge to find out how thick your material is. The other feature is the hardened-steel drill guide has etched the thickness stops for ½ in ¾ in and 1 ½ in material. It has a anti-slip base to hold the jig securely in place while drilling. This package comes with a Universal Clamp Pad Adapter to attach your own C-Clamp. It does come with 1 ¼” and 2 ½” indoor and outdoor pocket-hole screws. A great product.

The Kreg Pocket-Hole Jig 320 is perfect for those small jobs or in the case where you failed to drill a hole from your bench-top jig. This pocket size jig works for those tight spots as well. Now, if you’re not set up with a pocket-hole system already, then you’ll find the Kreg Face-Clamp a must have so you can hold the jig in place. Otherwise, the jig will just walk all over your material. Even if you’re setup with an elaborate pocket-hole jig system, I personally feel this is a must have. Here is where you can find the Kreg Face-Clamp: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Kreg-3-in-Automaxx-Face-Clamp-KHC3/207196464 Two thumbs up!

This product is very good at the job of making joinery, much better than I could do on my own! All I have to do is practice a little, once my broken wrist is better. It's a solid little tool, with a nice kit box, made well. I am thinking about putting it to use with some picture frames, once I get some more special screws, also made very well - I'll be picking them up at the Home Depot soon! Also, Kreg has videos online to learn more about its applications, so I'll be studying those!

This is a great, updated tool which makes joining 90 degree angle joints much easier and stronger. We have had a much older version which had only one setting. It could set up for two screws at a single width. This updated tool allows multiple adjustments for either one or two screws at multiple widths and depths of wood. We have used this type of tool frequently in the past. Projects have included television cabinets, bathroom sink cabinets and even free standing cabinets for storing multiple items. We plan to use this updated version to assist in making tables and cabinets for our craft room and for making Lego tables for the grandkids to play on. These will include Lego plates and need to be really sturdy. It is so easy to use compared to trying to accomplish something like this without the tool. The joints are extremely sturdy. Much more than other methods we have used in the past.

The Kreg Pocket Hole 320 Jig is as handy as a pocket in a shirt. I have used the K4 Pocket-Hole System which mounts on a workbench but always wanted the Pocket Jig. I’m glad I waited a while because the 320 Jig has much more flexibility then the first Pocket Jigs offered. First off, the jig is intended for common board sizes that are ½ inch, ¾ inch and 1 ½ inch thick. My first project was to build a quick, simple frame to hold a solar panel up against my building in the mountains. The first step was to rip my pine ¾ inch stock for the frame. The Kreg Jig allowed me to use simple butt joints. I removed the center piece of the jig and used the formed screw hole to secure the Jig in place for drilling the pocket holes. With the center spacer removed the centerline for the pocket holes is ¾ of an inch (with the center piece installed the pocket holes are 1 ½ inch apart). It is possible to use any spacing you desire by using only 1 drill jig (separate into 3 pieces and use one leg) and place it wherever you need it. I drilled a total of 8 holes in the 2 frame sides. I clamped the frame pieces down on the work bench and placed all 8 screws in the frame. It turned out perfect. After installing the top boards for the frame and a little sanding and paint it is ready to mount on the building. Please be sure to study the pictures I’ve provided. It is hard to describe what I built without seeing it come together. Also there are several good youtube videos already on line for The Kreg Pocket 320 Jig. This tool is the perfect new project or repair tool jig. What a great gift or device for any handyman’s tool collection.

This Kreg Pocket Hole Jig 320 is very useful. I also got the 310, only to discover that the 320 includes the 310. The 320 is quite versatile. It comes as a kit with everything needed in a fitted plastic case, and includes good instructions. As mentioned it can be set up to use as a 310 for narrow stock, or used in two different widths for wider stock. It can also be used for making repairs in tight places. I could have used it many times over the years for repairs to tables and such. I’ve wanted a pocket hole jig for many years, and Kreg has a long-standing reputation for quality woodworking products, so I decided this would be a good choice for me. I have several upcoming projects and this jig will make it much easier and cleaner for some of the joints. I tried it out with a couple of 2 x 4 pieces and found it to work very well. I like this great little tool from Kreg.

I've been building and repairing wood items for decades using countersunk screws. Recently my son-in-law build beautiful stacking snack tables with parsons design, but he used biscuits to join the legs and they weren't strong enough. I used his original Kreg kit to reinforce them, and I loved the step bit, the long square head driver, and the certainty that the screw was placed so it wouldn't go through the wood. They have actually improved the product,, featuring flexible jigs that can be assembled to fit the job in the 300 series. The clamp adapter is a great addition! Instructions are well done, and there are many helpful videos availlable. I have one piece of advice which may save ten minutes of video searching...see the two pictures about the material thickness stop.

Kreg Pocket Hole Jig 320 – I have used pocket screws for many years and found them to be a great way to join wood and plastic lumber pieces together. I have a K4 benchtop jig and couple of Kreg’s portable minis. While the minis do the job, they are not the easiest for setup or use without some experience. Kreg engineers have made many good upgrades to the portable pocket hole Jig 320. The 320 has adjustable stops for proper positioning from the edge of the material based on its thickness and the step drill has easy to read markings for setting the stop collar to match the material’s thickness. These are time savers; less measuring and test holes drilled. This jig is also much more versatile. The 320 can be taken apart and reconfigured for different situations including drilling pockets on the edge of a board or plywood or clamping it tight into a corner to repair or reinforce an existing joint. For a portable pocket hole jig this one does a great job and is easy to use by just about anyone.

There are just endless uses for a portable jig that will allow you to make pocket hole joints quickly and is very easy to use and the Kreg 320 does the job perfectly. The Kreg Pocket hold Jig 320 is a modular jig system that allows the DIY’er to quickly and accurately drill a single or multiple, spaced or not spaced pocket hole(s) without the risk of busting through the face of the board. The 320 is designed to be used on material ranging from ½ inch up to 1 ½ inches and the kit comes with all the items needed less a clamp. The jig itself has hardened steel inserts that guide the “easy set drill and stop collar” allowing for multiple uses and it still remain accurate. The jig is in three pieces, two guides and one spacer that can be easily manipulated to fit whatever your current needs are. The bottom of the jig have anti slip rubber type material on them to help prevent them from moving while in use and there are depth gage markings on each of the guides for easy placement when clamping. The kit comes with a combo material thickness gage and stop collar Allen wrench. The wrench part is used to adjust the stop collar on the 2-stage drill to the material thickness found by the gage part. There is also a 6-inch square drive bit for a strong bite so you can put the screws in pretty hard wood. I personally went back to the normal Philips head wood screws over the square drive but that’s my preference as the square drive screw work perfectly fine. The kit also come with a universal clamp pad adapter, but I simply use a quick clamp and it held just fine. This is a great tool to have, I fixed several “rickety” chairs and one wobbly table with it by adding one more pocket and the wife could not be happier. The product is well made and very easy to use. Its price point is reasonable and for the quality of the product well worth it. Recommended.

I've been using Kreg Pocket hole jigs for years, having bought the first kit that came out. This kit (Model KPHJ320) really improves convenience. Starting with a hex-shank step drill marked at 1/2”, 3/4” and 1-1/2” for the drill stop, with an easy-ty-use allen wrench that doubles as a thickness gauge, Kreg made many well-designed improvements. To be sure, the holes are no better but it's much easier to drill them, and MUCH easier to change the setup for drilling different thickness materials. The sliding plastic depth stops take a bit of getting used to, and the depth indicator shows the correct setting before the stop engages in its lock, so that takes some care. The base of the jig is covered in a rubber pad to provide excellent friction to keep the jig from sliding on the wood when drilling. I don't have to clamp down as hard as before. The jig can be assembled in several different configurations, once you get over the fear of breaking it while unlocking/re-locking the pieces. Consult the instructions to see exactly where to pull, when to rotate, and how to disengage various parts. It took quite a bit of force the first few times, but I expect things to loosen up with more use. Two things I was unimpressed with. First, it does not include the necessary vise clamp to fit the universal clamp pad. Without that pad, any regular wood-clamp will work well though. Fortunately, I have the vise clamp from my original Kreg kit, but I find it easier to use a regular clamp in most cases. The clamp pad itself secures to the clamp head, and then press-fits into various slots on the jig with a rubber post. The whole assembly can then easily slide along the drilling surface for hole placement, if desired. This is one area where I think the old design worked better, where the clamp head just slid into a slot on the jig. The kit includes two sizes of pocket screws to get started. Trust me when I say after using this kit, you will buy more pocket screws for many more projects.
