About This Product
Krystol T1 is the first application in the surface-applied crystalline waterproofing treatment for concrete structures. It is used to protect against the ingress of water. T1 is dry powder when mixed with water becomes a coating that is applied to the inner or outer sides of any concrete or block structure.

Can I apply it over self leveling concrete? I used Custom RS for leveling part of my basement. If yes how long I should wait after laying the self leveling?
Yes, T1 can be applied over self-leveling concrete however these two criteria must be met: 1. Self-leveling concrete must be open pored to allow for crystal growth. A soak test determines if the pores are open by observing if water soaks into the concrete or stays on the surface. 2. Typically, the surface of self-leveling concrete is shiny, smooth and tight. The surface must be rough and opened to provide a surface area for the T1 to bond to. As always, they must closely follow the T1 application instructions, and the manufacturer instructions of the self-leveling concrete.
Can Krystal T1 be used to topcoat Rapid Seal Water Stop Cement on my basement floor and walls? The Rapid Seal Water Stop cement has cured for approximately 4weeks to date. - photos attached Many thanks, CT homeowner
Dear CTH, I am not familiar with Rapid Seal. However, if it is Rapid Set you are referring to, the answer is yes. Please follow exact application instruction for the use of T1. Will this work on an old stone foundation?
it can be applied to stone, but will work best on concrete or block. The crystallization will only happen at the mortar joint greg

My area has a layer of versabond white mortar. Will this work through the mortar? Thanks.

Can this product penetrate Versabond white mortar to waterproof the mortar? The mortar has been applied for two years.

Can Krystol-T1 be used on a concrete block retaining wall that will be back filled with dirt?
Miles, Yes this is a good use of T1. it can be applied to either side of the block or both. But typically, in this case, if you had access to the soil-side of the wall, apply it there. greg@dryconcrete.com
There is a plaster like material on my concrete walls. With the solution work through the plastered areas?
Jordan, If you plaster was cement based, it could work, but if it was traditional plaster (gypsum/lime/sand) it will not. your best bet would be to remove the plaster, get down to the concrete or block, then apply the material and then re-apply the plaster greg greg@dryconcrete.com
