Q:The distance between my kitchen ceiling to the countertop is only 52 inches. If we keep a 3 iinch distance from the countertop to the bottom of the range hood, I am left with 22 inches height. Will this range hood work for my kitchen?

Huge
I researched and researched until I chose this one because of its dimensions it’s huge and impressive but only goes 30 inches the unit came as a demo bummer but I have been procrastinating for so long I will keep it. Came with some scratches but Kucht true to their word are sending replacements, now I need an extension now waiting on stove hope All goes well there.

This thing sucks.... In a good way
What a difference a powerful hood can make.for the amount of air it moves it is rather quiet. The cleaning is easy and the interior grease trap is amazing.

Good performance
This product really helps with our Asian spicy cooking. I did lot of research before landing this product. For the price and value, this is really good one. Far better than my previous one. It nicely fitted in my cabinets and gave a good look. Had a local handy man and he did a nice job as my cabinets had some challenges due to space limitation. It has been a month so far. Very pleased.

Purchased this hood as a complement to my Kucht range. I looked at a lot of hoods. My goal was to get a Vent-a-Hood, but just wasn't in the budget. This hood offered me a savings of $1800-2000 over the Vent-a-Hood! To be honest I wasn't real crazy about the modern lines of this hood, and I may swap it out if $$$ allows me to down the road.
Pros
- SS Matches range - This was a deciding factor for me. I have mis-matched appliances throughout my kitchen, but they are across the room. Since the hood/range were going to be on top of each other I wanted to make sure SS matched, thus I went for the same brand hood as I did range.
- Simple controls
Cons
- Needed to install make up air unit in house. Built new home and HVAC company/inspector required a make up air unit... that was a budget buster. Keep that in mind if building or remodeling via contractor, they may hit you up!
- Kinda loud - I usually use it at speed 2, which isn't bad. We can carry on conversations. Crank this up to 4 and good luck. But, I can deep fry on my range and :30 mins later you can't tell! It does it's job. I think any hood in this CFM range will be rather loud.
All in all , just average. I wouldn't blindly recommend this unit to all my friends, but I wouldn't discourage them either. It just is what it is.

Good Range Hood for a smaller space
We bought this along with our Kucht Gas Range to have a very uniform look in our kitchen. The only problem was that this needed to be put into a smaller height kitchen. It fit very well in a space that should have been for a Cabinet with undermount and works very well.
We did the paper towel/paper test and it removes plenty of air while cooking. It is also quieter than other range hoods of cheaper cost. Works great for what we needed and happy with the product.

Grinding Blower Unit Noise
I’m not sure how the product I received passed QA. After installing the vent hood and testing #2 & #3 fan speed the motor grinds/clunks. It sounds like a blender full of screws. I created a service ticket on the Kucht website, but got no confirmation email—so we’ll how that goes. On another note, the Kucht logo patch is obnoxiously large on the front face of the hood. Pretty bold for a lesser known brand in my opinion.
