Can home Depot rekey this set to match my front door kwikset lock? I'm only replacing my 2 back door locks, and want the same key for all 3 locks.
This model comes with the Smart Key Technology, which allows rekeying the lock at any time to the other Kwikset key, but it is not compatible with other brands.
Is this set for 2 doors?
Yes, this model has two sets of keyed entry doorknobs and two sets of deadbolts.
can i replace the backset with a 5 inch backset??
The 5in backset latch for the deadbolt is model # 82730 and the 5in backset latch for the doorknob is model # 83014.
When the door is unlocked from the outside does that unlock it from the inside? Also, if you turn the inside handle does that release the lock?
When you unlock the outside, it does unlock the inside as well. The interior turn piece has to be rotated to the unlock position in order to exit.
will this set fit a 1-1/4" thick security door?
This project pack fits standard size doors 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" thick.

Each set comes with 2 keys.
In the past when I have bought these, it came with 2 sets of keys = 4 total keys that are keyed alike. Its the main reason I bought them because I did not have to get keys made.
How long are the screws?
The screws are long enough to allow the lock set to be installed on a door that is between 1 3/8" - 1 3/4" thick.
Are any of the Kwikset deadbolts keyed on both sides, no lever operation?
