Answer This Question

A: It requires the standard round cutout that almost all deadbolts use. If you are replacing an existing deadbolt the installation should be seemless. If it’s a new installation you will need to use the same tools and steps as a new install for a round deadbolt or seek help from a friend or professional that has the tools.

A: This is black. You must select the “matte black” option. This item is sold in Venetian bronze and matte black. The black is not bronze; they are two different options.

The set is definitely beautiful. It was very easy to install and even easier to rekey. For the rekey ease alone I will continue to but kwikset products from now on. The set was also very heavy which was nice and i expected this set to be kinda flimsy. It definitely is not. The only reason for the 4 stars rather than the five is I can already tell the flat black color will not hold up well to key scratches. I dont really care as it is a door lock but for those that do that would be the only negative. Its solid, looks very nice and modern but still fits in with my mcm home, easy to install and easy to rekey.
