A kevo lock may be opened with a Fob or a smart phone. I don't like the Fob because of poor battery life. Seemed like mine only lasted about 6 weeks.
Change the Battery on the fob and lock. Try pairing lock and fob again.
No, operation requires a small computer board to be housed (as part of the lock) on the inside of door. This part has a turn knob to open the lock. For fire safety, double sided keys are not recommended in residential applications.

Lock and fob need to be paired to work together. To pair you open access door on interior section of physical lock, press the program button, touch the fob to the lock. The lock will then record the unique code off the fob. The fob can be used on several different locks simultaneously, each lock can have a several fobs paired to it.
