Yes provided your batteries are good. The back up access is apparently not taught to employees in the hardware department, but is also possible. I do not want to say more about that on a forum.

what about double front doors

I have double doors in my house. I have been reviewing all the locks in the market. This Kwikset lock is the *best* looking with the smallest footprint or profile. The Kwikset Obsidian lock would replace your existing deadbolt. Your existing door handles would stay. This is. of course, assuming your door handles are venetian bronze or satin - these are the only two finishes being offered at the moment. I am waiting for the Brass finish because my double doors have brass handles.

The lock is great looking, but you need to replace battery almost every two weeks or lock works spastically. This is frustrating and the lock was expensive. It looks beautiful. High maintenance. We have had it a year. We also have a Schlage lock and battery only needs to be changed once a year. I would recommend that one.

It's a beautifully designed keyless deadbolt. I had considered going with a lock that is connected to other apps in the home (Ring, Alexa) but decided the headaches with connectivity and integration weren't worth it. Plus, since I have Ring, I can just give people the code to enter. This lock was super easy to install and looks great on my door. Pairs nicely with the Montreal handles made by Kwisket. I've received a lot of compliments on this lock and it's "wife approved".
