Do not use this if you are planning to paint
I ended up painting my door and put blue paint tape and the color came off. Called about the warranty and says it’s not covered 👎🏻 would not repurchase. Less than a year old

Pretty but Dumb...
The emergency unlock mechanism is atrocious. The small "key" provided must be BLINDLY SET into a VERY SHALLOW NOTCH then turned carefully, which fails 90% of the time. Loosening the set screw to see this mechanism confirms the challenging task.

We can help! The best thing to do is insert the flat end of the emergency key horizontally into the lock when it is in locked mode. Great set of knobs! These look great. The mechanism is smooth and moves easily. The edges are slightly rounded for ease of use. Thus will probably be good to help hold paint as well. It has a thumb lick on one side and a pushpin lock opening on the other side. You can unlock the pushpin side with a heavy paperclip or a small skinny Phillip's head screwdriver.

I have been replacing the doors and locksets in my entire home, and have been swapping out 1980s-era brass knobs for more modern black hardware. I was interested in trying this lockset out. The quality is rather good, better than builder-quality sets though a bit lighter construction than your high-end hardware. Installation of this was very smooth, everything went together well and quickly. Movement is also very good and did not require considerable adjustment (I have found other brands to be more sensitive to placement and requires more adjustment). The look is very nice, bit of a matte black look that matches other black hardware (hinges, stops, etc.) well. If you are looking for a reasonably priced lockset with modern look, and easy installation, this will work well.

Kwikset is the only door handle/knob we use in our home. Recently we've gone through every room and updated all doors with new knobs and matching hinges. Some rooms utilize the oil rubbed bronze look while others we've opted for a matte black look. In our recent bathroom remodel we've gone with the black fixture look and we picked up the KWIKSET PISMO ROUND IRON BLACK Bed/Bath DOOR KNOB FEATURING MICROBAN ANTIMICROBIAL TECHNOLOGY. I must say the look is timeless and fits the decor very well. I never question the function of a kwikset, because quality is their thing. These knobs feel heavy and are very sturdy, operation is as it should be.

No Idea I could Love a Door Knob!
This is a solid product. Theres no loose parts, its tight and well put together. It feels like a quality product. I had no idea I could enjoy a door knob this much but I do. Its a great pairing to the new solid core doors I installed. The finish on here is sleek and very pleasing to the eye and hand!
