Fairmont Biscuit Brown Bonded Leather Executive Office Chair

This is a very comfortable chair. I sit in front of my home office computer for 12+ hrs/day. This chair is leaps and bounds more comfortable than any other office chair that I have owned. I docked a star because of the bonded leather because I know this chair will end up the same as every other bonded leather chair; flaking and peeling until there's nothing left. I would happily pay double for a real leather chair, but I have been unable to find one. In fact you can see the flakes of bonded leather from my previous chair that I have yet to vacuum. That said, I will enjoy it very much until the day its leather is on the floor as well.

I got this chair for my fiance since he often works from home and is an avid gamer. Since he would be spending so much time in it, I figured it would be important that his computer chair be supportive and comfortable. This chair will hold up to 400lbs and is made of quality materials. The bonded leather seems strong and not likely to crack and break. The arms and legs are made of wood and are extra strong. There are also 5 wheels instead of 4 for added stability and a smooth roll. The measurement between the chair arms is 22 inches which is roomy. The seat is also extra long for tall individuals. It measures about 20 inches of sitting room. The back of the chair measures 28 inches from the seat to the top. At its tallest height, the seat is 19 inches from the floor. My fiance states that the longer you sit in it, the better it gets since the memory foam conforms to you. He had no problems assembling it and never even looked at the instructions to do so so it seems pretty simple.

By far the best desk chair I've ever owned. ASSEMBLY Simple, as expected. Snap in the casters, attach the seatback to the seat, attach the arms, plop the seat on the base. Done. The only part that took a little effort was lining up the holes for the arms. I think it's my own fault, though, for tightening the seatback to the seat before attaching the arms. I probably should have put the arms on then tightened everything. USE I love that the chair is not overly complicated. You can adjust the seat height, the tension of the recline, and lock/unlock the chair from reclining. I've had chairs where seat pitch is adjustable, arm height, arm angle, etc etc. It's just too much. This chair is designed to be comfortable without being complicated. And BOY is it comfortable. COMFORT The first night I assembled this chair I left it in the living room and watched TV in it because it was so comfortable. My wife has since made me put it in the office. I would like to note that I am 6'4", 200+ lbs. Desk chairs are often undersized for people as big as me. But this one is perfect. APPEARANCE There's no mistaking this for a cheap chair. From the real wood base and arms, to the high quality leather and stitching, to the thick padding...even the La-Z-Boy emblem on the back...this chair looks great! Needless to say, if you're in the market for a nice chair, I'd highly recommend this one!

This chair is really comfortable and very nice looking. It looks very impressive with the wood and the bonded leather. My old swivel chair has a split in the seat so this will be a nice replacement. My cat gives it his seal of approval and has been sleeping on it ever since I put it together. I did have some challenges putting it together though. My first problem was attaching the levers under the seat that control it moving up and down and leaning back. The part with the lever on it slides into a piece that is already attached to the seat. One side slid in fine with a nice click as it locked in. The other side I could not get it to go far enough in to get it to lock in. I called customer service as their number was on a piece of paper in the box. I was on hold for 5 minutes and then I spoke to a woman and said she would send me replacement components. I decided that I didn’t want to wait so I used a knife to shave off part of the plastic on the tab so it would lock in. I called customer service back and cancelled the replacement parts. It was good that they were willing to send out new parts though. The installation instructions were pretty good but I missed a note when attaching the seat to the back. It says not to tighten the screws all the way but I did. When you do this you can’t get the screw holes in the arms to line up. I loosened the screws but even then it was hard to line them up. I put this together myself and you really need someone else to change the angle of the seat and back to get the holes to line up. It was quite awkward without having three arms! Also getting the plastic shroud to fit over the seat plate took some work. Luckily the shroud is flexible because you have to flex it to get the posts to fit in the holes. The bottom line is that it is awkward to get together but definitely doable. It is easier if there are two people doing it. Also the chair could do with a couple of modifications to get it to go together easier. One nice feature is that the screws come in a packet where they are separated and each section has a label to say whether it is the 1 ¼ screw or the 1 inch screw. This saves any confusion. Poor seating position and no lumbar support

Not as beefy as I would have liked. For the price I think it should have been but is comfortable .

After purchasing a Lay-Z Boy office chair with the lumbar support pushing me to the edge of the chair and making it uncomfortable to lean back in it, I thought I'd purchase one without the lumbar and after looking at several Lay-Z Boy office chairs, I decided to try this one. The package came quickly and everything was easy to assemble. After putting together the previous chair, I knew how the assembly went. I still followed the instructions word for word because I didn't pay $400 for an office chair just to assemble it wrong and have it break due to an incorrect assembly. I've had this chair for almost a year now. It leans too far forward, my thighs hurt after a while of sitting in it near the crease of my knees, my back aches when I sit up in it. The only possible comfortable position I can be in is when I prop my foot up on my office trash can under my desk and lean back in it. Other than that, I would have to be a masochist to feel comfortable in it. After sitting a while I can feel whatever hard material the foundation of the seat is made out of and whatever cushion it had doesn't support my butt at all. If I sit down I can feel the chair lean down and to the right slightly. The only way to sit up and take the pain off of my thighs is to put my legs as close together as possible to go over the center portion of the front of the chair. This is super hard to do and remain somewhat comfortable. The only thing this chair has given me is middle back pain and a sore bum and thighs. I've also started to wonder if I'm just not big and tall enough for this chair (5'10", 250 lb). But if that's the case, then Lay-Z Boy needs to include information on what size of person this chair is made for. From my experience with this chair, I would not recommend this chair to anyone and it will be my last Lay-Z Boy Office Chair.

This is a awesome chair but the cushion on this one was not right, the left side was higher than the right side like the cushion was bunched up. When you sit on it you felt like your leaning to the right so you can't get comfortable. Guess I am taking it back next week I just cant make this work.

Product was damaged out of the box. Someone at Home Depot used a box cutter to seperate boxes and sliced the leather on the chair in two place. Didn’t notice it until after I was mostly done assembling it. Frustrating.
