Totally worth the price
I purchased this to test the water in our new (older) house. I was pleasantly surprised to find the water was in good shape. The tests were easy to do, instructions easy to follow...I even had my 6 year old son help me with it. It was a great “science experiment” while stuck at home. I will definitely purchase again when/if we move. It puts me at ease to know we aren’t drinking anything dangerous.

I tested water before and after water purification as part of a science project. It worked very well, showing water combined from river, lake, rain, and my tap was contaminated with metals chemicals and bacteria before running it through our filter and boiling it, and then showing it clear after.

I tested the well water for a ranch house. The pesticide and lead test came back not valid. Test was easy to administer from the kitchen sink. I would like to use a different brand test kit next time.

Fantastic Easy Results
I’m on a private well and I wanted to make sure that the water was safe for consumption . I also wanted to see if there were any issues that I could resolve with the water (if there was any). The kit is excellent, and worth the price; however, it only comes with 1 lead/pesticide test, where as there is a second of all the other strips you need. For the price, I expected to run a full set of tests twice, not just the acidity & metallic solutes, hence the 4 star instead of 5.

Thank you for your purchase and for reviewing our product. It's unfortunate that the LabTech Water test Kit that you purchased was incomplete. We include the whirl-pak in our plus kit for users that are testing municipality supplied water. Many municipalities add chlorine to the water supply to help control bacteria growth and we would need that suspended while conducting the Total Coliform test. If testing private well water, the whirl-pak dechlorination process is not needed. Other than that, GREAT
One of tests came back in conclusive and it was the pesticides tests, i really wanted to know that. Also the one testing for fecal matter could have a little more explanation than just 2 pictures. Other than that, great.

Thank you for your purchase and the for reviewing our product. If the pesticide test result was deemed inconclusive, you should contact our customer service department. We would be happy to send you the replacement pesticide component for a re-test. The Total Coliform test tests for all forms of coliform bacteria, not just fecal bacteria. The images shown on the Total Coliform results card show what 2 things indicate a positive result. The sample solution must turn yellow (indicating a pH shift) AND the gel ball that developes in the vial must be floating on the surface of the sample.
