PROS The rechargeable LED lantern is an bright and feature packed light. The two (white and orange) colors will allow you to use it as an illuminator or warning light. The additional feature of blinking either white or orange would easily catch anyone's attention. It also has the ability to adjust the brightness of the light to suite the need. Since rechargeable batteries do not last forever, the fact that this one is replaceable allows the lamp to be used for a longer period of time. CONS Packaging is obnoxious - Plastic is embedded into the paperboard and is not marked as to its recyclability.

Tough little light. Bright. Long run time. At medium, this thing stayed on for 8+ hours. I gave up before the battery went dead. Hard to tell how long it runs at full. It automatically dims after a while. This can be annoying when you are working on something. Base is magnetic. Perfect for sticking on your truck, car, motorcycle, whatever you need to work on. Or if you break down it is a great way to let other motorist see you. The interface is a little much. It has too many models and features. The strobe light would do nothing to fend off attackers. This rather unique looking lamp was designed in Germany and made in China. It is described as an industrial high power 750-Lumen Rechargable LED lantern. It is very compact and measures approximately 6 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Smart technology in the lamp allows for a number of different settings. At 550 lumens (high) it will give off 4 hours of light; at 20 lumens (low) it will give off 70 hours of light. It reportedly will recharge in five hours. It can go anywhere and one of it's great features is that it gives off glare-free light distribution. It has a 7-year guarantee on material and workmanship. Of note is the recharging cord which plugs into the lamp and has a USB connector on the other end. This also allows you to recharge your cell phone with power from the lamp, if needed. Because this product is distributed worldwide, the instructions are in 32 languages which are relatively brief. There is also a separate two-sided sheet with a lot of drawings on the operation of the lamp. Sometimes the drawings are not readily understandable. Responses from Customer Service are very prompt.

I felt I should have worn fish fileting gloves to protect my hands, but finally got the LEDLENSER iA6R lantern and accessories out of the retail packaging. Hey, nothing was damaged, so all is good. Beside the lantern, there is a base stand, a 6’ long (approximately) USB charging cord, the battery, and a cute nylon carrying bag (with closure). This lantern is small, measuring less than 5 inches high, minus the base and handle. The magnets in the bottom of the lantern are very strong. The USB cable can charge the internal battery and may be used to charge another device from the lantern’s battery. The iA6R has a 5 year warranty (if you register the product, it’s extended to 7 years!) All the light modes are operated by 3 switches on the top. Maybe I’m not too bright (get the pun?) but I don’t know how I will remember to navigate all these modes. I’ve scanned one side of the ‘instruction sheet’ for you to see. I just keep on pushing a combination of the switches until I get the light color and intensity I desire. In one of my photos, I compared the iA6R to a 100W incandescent bulb. They are different kinds of light, but the Ledlenser held its own. Takeaway: the lantern is VERY bright and very compact in size. It has many light levels, 2 colors, and many modes (flashing or steady-burn). Don’t let the switches intimidate you. I recommend the LEDLENSER iA6R.

If you like gadgets, you should like this product. It can shine white, amber, and/or with a green circle at the bottom. It can blink, strobe, or breath with any of the light settings. Even more impressive is that it has continuous dimming from 100% to 10% for any of the light combinations. The integral base is magnetic. A removable base may be attached to provide more support for standing it on a flat surface. This added base also has a hook for hanging it on a rod where there is no open end to slip the primary opening over. With two types of hooks, it is easy to hang up for storage. On one side near the top is a mini-USB port for charging, and on the other side is a full USB port to use as a power source to charge another device with the mini-USB. I can only think of a few applications using these capabilities. I will use it primarily as a lantern with a white light source adjusted to the appropriate brightness. I could also see it being useful to have in a vehicle for emergency use because of its amber light with a blinking capability. It could be used while walking after dark but it is not easy to carry for long periods. It is small but heavier than many flashlights and other means for being visible. It does not concentrate the light source as a flashlight does but it does aim it downward. The instructions are pictorial. It does take a while to learn the sequence of operations needed to obtain the desired output. It comes with a fabric case which I assume is rainproof. If you love gadgets or if you can think of multiple uses of this product, it would it be a worthwhile purchase. For only the straightforward applications, there are better choices. If you have any questions, it does not have a US telephone number to call but only one in Germany. It is made in China. It has a 7-year warranty with a proof of purchase if registered. If not registered, it has a 5-year warranty with proof of purchase. The battery has a 2-year warranty.

Loved the lantern. Very bright and you can adjust the brightness.

Very nice lantern. Like the different levels of brightness and the option of sitting or hanging. Will work well in my shed at night if needed.

Like the light but battery life is not as long as expected, Disappointed in the cover for the powder connection as easy to loose should be connected so not to loose.

I use the Ledlenser LED 750 lumen Lantern every night to light up the game table on the patio. The light is bright and clear. Lasts about three nights before requiring recharging. I need to buy another Ledlenser lantern to provide light while the first one is recharging. I bought a spare battery but I don't like opening to replace the battery then opening again to recharge the spare battery.
