Q:Does anyone know the best way to defrost the freezer? All of my food was getting freezer burn, I couldn't figure out why until I looked in the back and there was an iceberg. Not sure if there's a button, or if I need to unplug it or something.

A:  Leave the doors open and wait at least 8 HOURS for the refrigerator to defrost. Make sure to keep towels in and around the unit to soak up any excess water after the frost melts. After 8 hours have passed, use a dry towel to remove any moisture that may be left inside the refrigerator and freezer.^Venette

          Broken more than fixed
          I’ve had this refrigerator for less than three years and it’s broken more than it’s fixed. I have lost countless groceries and the hassle of not having a refrigerator is enormous. One company came out four times over 3 months and finally said it cannot be fixed.

            [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall this fridge has been great. We love all the features. Water flow can be slow depending on the filter we use. Love having cold, filtered water though. Everything worked great until the 5 year mark when the compressor died. Come to find out this was a common problem with that years model. Our warranty expired at 5 years but LG had extended the warranty on compressors. Still an expensive fix but the new compressors are supposed to be better. Not sure if we would buy LG again. Probably depends on the life of the new compressor.

              Great features & Great customer service
              I bought this lg fridge in 2019. It has more than enough room for everything in both the fridge and the freezer. Recently it stopped cooling and I panicked but LG has wonderful customer service and support. They sent someone out immediately to fix the compressor and did not charge me for parts or labor since that is their policy for 10 years after purchase. All in all I’m thankful that this fridge has held up and when it did have an issue it was quickly taken care of by their professional team.

                      Excellent Functionality and Features
                      [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this refrigerator in 2015 and have been extremely pleased with it's functionality and features. We especially love the "door within door" feature that enable us to see, store, and access beverages and other items without opening the entire refrigerator door. This refrigerator was part of a recall and LG was highly responsive in replacing the recalled part, within 24 hours of our call to customer service. We are thankful for this high caliber of customer care.

                        Fridge not working after aervixing
                        Leo came to service the fridge after cancelling the appointment twice. Now the fridge is not working at all. And I have emailed, call and texted technician,but no reply. All of our food has gone bad. We have to water to drink, no ice and we cannot store any food since past 2 days. I am not sure when the technician will come back. All groceries went bed.

                          Awesome!
                          [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my fridge about 4 years ago and we love it. Stop cooling on us and ice melted all over my floor. When I called LG to let them know the situation they sent out a company to fix it all for free. They put a new compressor and more Freon and reset my temperature gauges along with new filters. Of really knows how to take care of their costumers. I will continue to by LG.
