Why does it keep showing CL and won’t turn on
Hello, CL means child lock. Please look for the child look button then turn ON the machine, press and hold the CL button and it should stop flashing on the panel.^Venette
How do I add extra water to certain loads (such as Bulky)? I try to press the Extra Plus button but it doesn't work with the Bulky setting!! Most of the time my loads (any setting) are barely covered with water!
The Water Plus option on the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.9 cu.ft. Mega Capacity Front Control TurboWash™ Washer, Model # WT1701CW can be used to add extra water to wash cycles, however, if the washing machine reaches its maximum water level, the Water Plus button will have no effect. You cannot select the Water Plus option in the Tub Clean and Bulky cycles (Page 26 in your owner's manual). It is available for the Perm. Press, Towels, Power Cleanse, Speed Wash, Wool, Delicates, Normal, Heavy Duty, Bright Whites, and Oxi Sanitize™ cycles as shown in the charts on pages 20-21 of your owner's manual for the washer...^IFV
Most of the time the washer leaves white residue on my black clothing. I use HE clothes soap and very little, maybe a tablespoon and half. I have to rub the washed clothing together or use a sock to rub off the residue. I have cleaned the tub.
There is a variety of reasons why you get visible residue left on clothes that have been freshly washed. It can be white specks or streaks left on dark clothes or blue or green residue left on light-colored clothes. Are you using liquid or powdered HE detergent and what temperature setting are you using? If you are using powdered detergent, it could be it is not dissolving fully. If you are washing in cold water, especially in really cold climates, a powdered detergent may not dissolve completely. The same steps should be used with single-dose packets and some liquid detergents. How long have you had the washing machine and how often do you clean the dispenser trays? The dispensers may be clogged with detergent or fabric softener (even liquid products will clump) that is not dissolving. Page 29 in your owner's manual has instructions for how to remove and clean the dispenser trays. Washing a full load of laundry is a good thing to save time and money. However, cramming too many items into a washer doesn't leave room for the soil and residue to be flushed away. If you have never cleaned your washer, it can have soil, minerals, and detergent residue that is redepositing on clothes. Think of it as the same as the soap scum in your shower. Because of the low volume of water, you must clean an HE washer monthly You may also have an issue with hard water in your area...^IFV

After every wash cycle (including extra rinse), I am left with dark lint residue on my clothes. I don’t use a lot of detergent and we use the cleaning tablets once a month. It’s not soap residue...it’s definitely wet lint clumps. Advice??
