A: Yes, converting a gas dryer to electric is possible with some serious know-how but we don't recommend doing so for the following reasons: It's not cost effective and there's a difference in electrical currents. Gas dryers have an igniter, a burner, and other parts you won't find in an electric dryer. Interchanging parts for correct ones during a conversion would be costly. Furthermore, gas dryers use a voltage of 110 V, and electric dryers use a voltage of 240 V. ^Chris
