Questions & Answers

When using the dehumidifier should the hose be removed from the window?
ByAug 8, 2025
1 Answer |
Answer This Question

No, you should not remove the dehumidifier hose from the window when the dehumidifier is in use. The hose is crucial for directing the collected moisture outside to a drain or a collection container. Removing it would cause the dehumidifier to stop working effectively. Leaving the hose connected and properly routed ensures the unit can operate efficiently and maintain the desired humidity levels, especially if you're using a continuous drain option. This allows the unit to get rid of the water it collects without manual intervention.

What is the height of the window installation panels. I know the panel lengths, but I need to know the height in order to make it fit in a casement window with a special clear panel.

The window vent panel for the LG 6,000 BTU (SACC) / 10,000 BTU (ASHRAE) Portable Air Conditioner, Model # LP0621WSR can be used by itself for a horizontal-sliding window 18" high, it can be used with Panel B for windows 19" to 26" high, with Panel C for windows 27″ - 34″ high, or with Panels C and D for windows 35″ - 50″ high. Bought 2 of these units second hand. 1 works perfectly, the other is filling with water and leaking everywhere within 30 minutes of emptying (cool mode) .Not coming from lower drain but rather from top drain that’s to be used for dehumidifying. Fixes?

The LG 6,000 BTU (SACC) / 10,000 BTU (ASHRAE) Portable Air Conditioner, Model # LP0621WSR filling with water and leaking everywhere within 30 minutes of emptying from the upper drain in cool mode will have to be inspected by a qualified service technician to determine the issue. Some possible causes for the unit leaking water may be due to a dirty air filter, a clogged drain, or blocked heat exchangers, or that it is low on refrigerant. If the system is low on refrigerant, a service technician is the only remaining answer...^Ivan.

Can the LG600 take a freon charge?
              ByJun 18, 2025
              1 Answer |
              Answer This Question

Freon (aka R-22), is a brand name for chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) refrigerants used in air conditioners, was introduced in 1930 and officially banned in the United States on January 1, 2020. The LG 6,000 BTU (SACC) / 10,000 BTU (ASHRAE) Portable Air Conditioner, Model # LP0621WSR uses the environmentally friendly R32 refrigerant. R32 refrigerant cannot be recharged in portable ACs. Portable ACs are sealed systems and typically use refrigerants like R410A or R32. If your unit is not cooling effectively and indicates a refrigerant leak, you'll need a licensed HVAC professional to recharge it. In the United States, refrigerant leaks in portable ACs must be repaired if they are discovered. If the leak is not repaired, the portable AC must be retired from use. Portable ACs are hermetically sealed from the factory, which means that under normal operating conditions, they will not “use up” refrigerant. The only time that an AC will lose refrigerant is if it has a leak. You cannot use a refrigerant recharge kit on a portable AC because portable ACs do not have service valves. Even if your portable AC has service valves, you cannot use a typical refrigerant recharge kit. Most refrigerant recharge kits have R-134A refrigerant, while most portable ACs use R-410A or R-32 refrigerant.. Portable air conditioners require service valves to be recharged, so valves will need to be added to the AC by a licensed technician before recharging the unit. In most areas, you are not legally able to add refrigerant to a portable AC without the proper license. In the United States, adding refrigerant to a portable AC requires an EPA Section 608 license...^Ivan.

                  Nice LG air conditioner
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this LG air conditioner in June, and it really is a nice model and keeps our upstairs area cool. Very satisfied with its performance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really enjoying it! Hand held remote control. Control air direction, I did have a struggle with assemble in the window

Once again, LG lives up to its reputation.
I want to portable air conditioning unit that I could set up and not worry about. Thus, I sought out a dependable name like LG. This product has lived up to its name in its ability to do what it promises. And provide a worry, free experience. It cools the room quickly and efficiently and maintains the temperature on its own. I would hardly recommend this unit to others.

Broke a few months outside of warranty.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was good for a year and then a few months past warranty the intake fan got misaligned (hadn't moved the unit for months) and ended up cutting through the black plastic backing and then broke off a few blades. Now it blows out cold air for a few mins but switches to hot air as I guess it overheats.

                        damaged and junk
DO NOT BUY! FIRE HAZARD! Just got this today. Holes in box and bottom of the box was wet. Plugged it in and sparks and flames shot out the wall. Im disabled and 81 years old but Home Depot wont take this back unless I bring it to the store. So Home Depot is now selling hazardous items and wont let you return. DO NOT BUY! FIRE HAZARD! This is how it was left at my door as well.

It's a nice smaller size and works well in a small office. More quiet than our expectations which is fantastic (at least on low fan speed)! All parts were included and install was straight forward and easy.

LG A/C unit is efficient and cold!!
I bought this unit less than a month ago and love it for our upstairs kids room. We have our home HVAC but it never can cool the upstairs enough. Issue solved with our new LG. Perfect size and easy to set up!

Air Conditioner works like a Horse
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I noticed the awesome features; The portable air conditioner cools an area of 55sq feet very well. A feature that allows dehumidifying, just in case. The installation was as easy as pie with enough material to complete the job.

After reading a lot of reviews I decided to take my chances and try it myself. To my surprised it’s has exceeded my expectations, blows very cold air and has worked very well. Pros : Good price, has wheels, easy installation, and blows very cold air. Cons: it’s very loud , hose is too wide .
