Cool your home from anywhere using LG ThinQ technology to control your air conditioner with your phone or use with Amazon Alexa and Hey Google to have control with the sound of your voice. This quiet unit is ideal for cooling medium rooms up to 550 sq. ft. and is ENERGY STAR certified to help save on energy. The unit has 3 cooling and fan speeds and a 24 hour timer to create a cooling schedule. 4-way air deflection lets the flow of air be directed where it's needed most whether cooling, dehumidifying or just circulating air. If there is a power outage, the auto restart feature will automatically turn your unit back on when power is restored. The water is constantly leaking from the unit. It was professionally installed with the proper tilt. LG AC products are well known for water issues and they refuse to repair it although the unit is still under warranty stay away from LG products.

    Bad packaging
    Everyone knows that the back of an air conditioner with the fins and coils is fragile. So why would they create a box for the air conditioner that does not protect these fans and coil. Something sharp went through our box during shipment and smashed the fins and possibly damaged the coil. For $400 I wasn’t going to take a chance, so I returned it. Also there were no handles In the shell of the air conditioner so that you could lift it out of the box. While it looks like a nice unit there’s some things that are poorly thought out.

      LG needs to be out of business!
      This window unit is less than 24 months old and is not only dripping water into my living room, it's completely corroded on the exterior fins as well for no reason. And although I bought THREE of them - the technology seems incredible at first with low noise - LG refuses to do anything at all for me, nor will Home Depot. Unless you want to spend $1000 a year on a throw away item with a one year warranty DON'T DO IT!!

        LG 10,000 BTU Air Conditioner review
        I have owned this unit for a month now. It's quiet, easy to install, BUT these are the things that would prevent me from buying another one. Top most the blower is weak, On high setting it feels like it's set on low, especially compared to the old 10,000btu unit I replaced it with. My old unit on high felt like a hurricane force wind coming out of it. This model on high feels like a soft gentle breeze coming out it which makes cooling down a large room harder and longer to do. My 2nd issue is when set on dehumidify you have no fan speed control. 3rd issue it doesn't cool down to specified temperature. I have it set to 68 but the room maintains a constant temp of 72 to 73 degrees. That a 4-5 difference!! This unit is factory set to focus more on energy efficiency then anything else. The condenser constantly turns on and off with a few minutes of each other.

        I ordered this specific unit because it was the top rated on the New York Times “Wirecutter” review. This is my first window AC unit living in NYC so I needed one that was good (considering all window units are pretty awful). It does a good job of cooling down the space (about 300 sqft), however is fairly loud even for a window unit. I have to turn it off or keep it on Eco Mode when trying to watch tv. It was very easy to install. My biggest complaint is that the WiFi doesn’t work, which is one of the main reasons I bought it. Nothing is wrong with my personal Verizon Fios WiFi and I’ve tried troubleshooting a million different times. What’s worse is the customer service for LG and the ThinQ app is absolutely awful — it’s been two weeks of trying and I’m still unable to get anyone on the line to help. I tried to get help directly through the ThinQ app but they provided instructions for setting up a hotspot using a SECOND cell phone. Who has two cell phones? And I don’t even have hot spot capabilities on my phone. One of the most infuriating customer solution experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a unit specifically with WiFi capabilities beware, as this might not even work for you.

          Considerable difference
          I bought this for my home office because the home central AC doesn't reach my office and I work from home and it's getting unbearable some days. I purposely purchased the wifi enable unit so I can monitor it remotely and start it when I'm not at home so it's ready for me and it's SO much better!!! I highly recommend it for anyone. My room is under the Sq footage that it's meant for which just means it'll stay colder longer with less energy.

            Doesn’t work as intended.
            Install had to be a custom job due to the style of windows, not a problem. Installed easily and quickly, very quit!! Very cold! I purchased this unit for the WIFI….. so my unit could be monitored and times of operation be installed. The app sucks, the WiFi sucks, the connection is absolutely embarrassing. Called Lg and they said they are not responsible for WiFi issues. This unit is less than 10ft from my router… save the money, but a cheap unit.
