Is the interior of the oven actually blue?

Asked by Webbie November 29, 2018

Yes, it's blue. A magnificent blue.

Can this combo be separated? Can the microwave be installed next to the oven rather than on top?

Asked by JL September 30, 2020

LG - None of your answers are correct. If the unit can consume 7,800 watts, divided by 220VAC = 35.45AMPs. Why is a 50AMP breaker required? If there is a reason to use a 50AMP breaker (high turn-on current, etc.) then 8 gauge wire is not large enough. 8 gauge wire can only carry 40AMPs. If the unit does need a 50AMP break for another reason then 6 gauge wire (55AMPs) should be used. Seems like 8 gauge wire and a 40AMP breaker are in order. You being the manufacture should be providing the same correct information on all web-sites and documentation. So which is it?

Can I use a metal pan in the upper oven when using it as a convection/broiler?

Asked by TW February 18, 2019

Yes, you can. The oven comes with a metal tray for this very purpose. The manual explains when to use each in the section describing accessories. Unfortunately, it is not terribly clear elsewhere. See my attached image.

Asked by Rabbit June 19, 2019

No, it is absolutely NOT fingerprint resistant stainless steel. In fact, it is more prone to fingerprints than all of my other stainless steel appliances.

Is the microwave also an oven?

Asked by Rocio January 28, 2019

Yes, this appliance is also a convection oven.

Is a trim kit included? If not, is there one available for this model?

Terrible beep
Customer review from logo
Everyone that the microwave is finished, there is a prolonged beep. You have to manually turn off the beep or it will go on forever. I don’t understand what the purpose of the beeping is after you take the food out. Terrible microwave. Would never recommend it to anyone.

Works great. Lots of nice features! I have use the top microwave as a microwave and as an oven to bake. The bottom oven does a great job. In some reviews people said they could not see the control panel, I think you can see it just fine. Very happy with it.

Easy Install
Customer review from logo
I replaced a smaller oven. I was concerned about enlarging the cabinet opening, and multiple attempts at trimming to fit. The installation instructions were very well written and easy to follow. The oven fit the first time and all connections worked. So excited about using the new convection capabilities.

I hope this is more of an oversight on my part, or perhaps a burned out light. I’m referring to the top control section of the oven. There is a small, bright LCD screen in the center of the control panel. This displays time and temperature information and is easily viewed. Outside of this small screen, there are many control buttons that are push to operate items. These buttons all have text on them. During the brightest part of the day, the text is readable. But in the evening when our lighting is lowered, it is impossible (in our kitchen at least) to see what any of the buttons say. Is there supposed to be some back light that may have not been connected, or burnt out. Last night at 10PM, I attempted to use the oven to pop some popcorn. The lighting in the kitchen was muted and I was unable to see any of the controls. I could obviously turn on all the kitchen lights, but I was surprised that this oven does not have illuminated controls. Every other appliance we have uses controls which can been seen in low light. Not this LG product though. It looks great in the daylight and after a few days of use, it seems to cook very well. But if I had known that the controls would be impossible to see in low light, I would not have purchased this.

Simply Amazing!
Customer review from logo
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this wall oven microwave combo to replace the old one I had and after several months of research, decided on this one because of the features, the ratings, the size, and the looks. The moment the unit was installed, it totally upgraded my kitchen. Looks amazing! I have used some of the features thus far and have been extremely happy with the results. Super happy so far and I highly recommend!

Love this Wall Oven Micro Combo! Excellent Quality!
I needed to replace my wall oven-microwave oven and found this one. The unit had everything I wanted and more! I waited for it to go on sale and snagged it at a great price last month. I had a cabinet guy install it as some adjustments needed to be made in the height portion of the cut out. This unit is amazing! So far it has done great! I absolutely love the look.. it totally upgraded my whole kitchen! Highly Recommend!

Excellent product so far. We had it installed by our contractor and seemed to be pretty easy for him. We have used both the oven and microwave and they are great. I would have given it a 5 star rating except for the fact that there doesn't seem to be a way to cover the cut-out on the bottom. I originally thought we were missing a trim piece and called LG. Excellent customer service sent me a replacement piece. Turned out it was there the whole time. Still doesn't seem to be a way cove the cut out though. not sure if something was done in correctly.

We have not used all of the features yet, but love the look and functionality so far. It was a very tight fit into the opening, so I wish it had a more than 1/8th of an inch to work with for the width. Luckily, I did my own install so it didn't cost me anything extra when it came time to widening the opening by a 16th of an inch. The microwave works great, as does the oven. But I don't understand why you need to hit "Clear/End" after a cycle has completed and I open the door. Door open = cycle over if the time has ended. Seems like an easy program adjustment.

Need real cooking examples.
Customer review from logo
Just installed but confused on how to use the upper convection oven. The manual say to not use metal or stone cookware but the below photo off the LG site shows bread being baked in what looks like a metal loaf pan. What kind of cookware should be use for convection, broil, or speed cook? Also, the silver rack for the upper oven says "to be used in the center clip position only." There is no mention of "center clip"in the owner's manual. What is it? When baking cookies or biscuits in the upper oven (using convection), do we put the cookies and biscuits directly on the round metal tray (like a cookie sheet)? Should it be elevated on the stand? Can we use a different platter? Again, we could use some real life examples on how to use the oven's many features. The examples should be specific to the upper or lower oven and include options and suggestions for cookware to use (pictures would be nice, too): * Convection Bake * Broil * Speed Cook * Speed Broil * Auto Cook Thanks
