Questions & Answers

Is there added humidity to the room/house because it is ventless?

I have read reviews about humidity with a ventless machine and wondered about this model.
Asked by: Barbara
I have a dehumidifier will placing it in laundry room and keeping humidity at the lowest level while machine is running will that help reduce drying time.

How long does the unit take to wash and dry a large load?

Asked by: missy
We have only been using this for around 2 months but a "large" load would probably take 4-5 hours. I usually do 3/4 loads and the complete run time is usually between 2.5-3.5 hours depending on they type of clothing.

4.3 cu. ft. White All-in-One Washer and Electric Ventless Dryer is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 830.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great option for those who can't vent their dryers I live in a condo where we cannot vent a dryer. So I knew I would have to purchase a ventless dryer. I spent 2 months reviewing different ventless dryers and all-in-one washer/dryer combos. I finally decided on this unit, because it is large enough to run a queen bed set through (duvet cover + sheets), but small enough to fit into the second bedroom closet and still leave plenty of storage room in there. It does take a few loads to understand how much to load the clothes so they mostly dry. I have run up to 10 towels and they come out 98% dry in 3.5 hrs (wash +dry time). All that is needed is a few extra snaps to flick away the condensation. I do not have the damp air in the closet problem another reviewer commented on, but this is in a 5 ft wide closet, so maybe it has better air exchange? If you can vent, this is not the best option for you, but for the rest of us, this unit does a decent job. Plus, I like throwing in a load of laundry before work and coming home to it already dried!

We have a dog and two kids and we do laundry daily. My wife and I just had a chat last night about how the singular worst investment we have made is this washer/dryer combo. Complaint #1: It doesn't dry very well. We have to set it to the highest setting to dry and it just scorches the clothes. We have to take blankets to the cleaners once a week to dry there. I can't tell you what a huge waste of our time it is, especially with my wife being 5 months pregnant. Complaint #2: It has a huge lint problem. Hair, lint, gets caked around the lip of the door frame and is impossible to clean without damaging the rubber gasket. Ventless is terrible if you have any pets or linens that produce lint. Complaint #3: It is very loud. We are going to have to return this washer/dryer combo as there is no way we can do all this extra work like going to the laundromat to dry clothes with a newborn on the way.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great space saver We couldn't fit a standard washer and dryer in the space allotted at our house so we bought this because we couldn't put in stackables in that area either. It's probably the very best washer I've ever owned. It does a full size load of clothes with no problem and they come out super clean. I no longer need to use stain removers. The dryer takes some getting used to, but we have a grip on the eccentricities of it now. You can't dry a huge load of clothes, even though it goes straight from wash to dry. And you have to put like things in together or the heavy stuff comes out dry, but the lightweight stuff is still damp. (Doesn't make much sense) In any case, we now love it and are very happy we bought it. Just a note, when you take stuff out of the dryer, for a few seconds it seems to feel a little damp, but wait those few seconds and you'll find they are completely dry. It may be that it is producing steam which feels wet. Also love that you don't need a dryer vent and one simple plug to a 110 socket instead of 220.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy hookup, simple settings, Quiet Best price purchase thru HD w/ free delivery. Good customer service experience w/ HD and LG. I installed this unit in my kitchen, water supply lines and discharge off the sink & faucet , so if your thinking about it ....certainly doable. See attached parts list and the discharge hose you can buy by FT. I'm on a wood frame flooring so added 4'x4'x3/4'' subfloor sheeting the unit sits on for weight displacement minimize vibration. Spinning at 1200rpm I was very surprised with its stability and quiet operation. Most important to adhere to leveling instructions.(use a level) Don't be in a hurry to dry, but it does work well for the technology. In case you wondering about the single water supply line combining c/h off the faucet producing warm/warm on cycle selection . This unit comes with built-in water heating element for those selections require xtra-hot. if you need . Plus the warm/warm aids in drying time . Oh yeah! its energy efficient. Good luck and goodbye laundromat!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Machine but some quirks It's a good washer dryer for compact spaces and needs no venting. Three things I wish I knew before I had bought this machine: 1- Significantly long drying times, 2:30-4:00 hours, depending on the type of clothes 2- Dryer capacity is less than Washing capacity, which means that if you do a full wash load you have to remove about a third of it to dry it 3- There is no easy to access lint filter and the manual instructs you to clear up the lint on the rubber grommet around the door, you have to do this every time you dry clothes, else the lint will be in your next wash. There is a lint filter that can get clogged if you don't do the afrorementioned, when it gets clogged the machine detects this and will tell you to remove it and clean it out with a toothbrush. The machine takes some getting used to, the long times. You want to set it at night or during the day with a delay so clothes are done when you get up or get home from work. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Drying Time - Once happy now not so much! We have had this for about 2 years now and knew the drying time was going to be longer when compared to traditional washer / dryer. It was working just fine and then about 6 months ago the drying time has been horrible. I mean after 5 hours clothes are still damp. We have added "more" dry time, reduced the load size (which by the way was fine when we first purchased machine), and have cleaned the trap. Today I sent support an email and am hoping they have a resolution. We have it on a pedestal as well. On the upside, this machine does wash and spin clothes dry. I wished the warranty was longer than 1 year. One other thing is that the spin cycle is so high that jeans come out with semi-permanent wrinkles - so, I spend more time ironing - I have taken them out before drying to shake them out and they are still really wrinkled. Those I definitely take out after first drying cycle, while they are damp, so I can flatten them out as they dry. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I love the machine! I was Skeptical because I've only used a top loader before and I've heard these don't use much water and it's hard to get clothes clean, but our clothes are even cleaner and fresher smelling! (My husband is a construction worker and his clothes are filthy and I use it to wash cloth diapers) A lot of people said it takes longer but it saves me time because it immediately dries and I don't have to remember to transfer the clothes. I love all the setting it has! The dryer does take getting used to. A lot of people say it doesn't dry, but I think it's because it dries differently since it is ventless not that it doesn't dry. When you open your dryer the clothes do feel damp but I get them out to fold and shake them and the are dry! It's the weirdest thing, it's like inside the dryer is super humid (since its ventless) but as soon as they hit cool air it evaporates and they are dry! it just takes getting used to but I love it! It's a space saver and I feel like my clothes are cleaner and it saves water.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great option for small spaces Great option for small spaces but make sure you have a sturdy floor because the vibrations are intense. For us, living in a third floor condo unit, makes it really hard to let it spin the way it should because the whole building shakes. If we were on a bottom floor or if we could reinforce the floor it sits on it may lessen the vibrations but for now we will deal with it. I just won't spin on extra high. Overall, this has been a great option and meets our needs. Yes, it takes a long time to dry but i'll take that over lack of space any time. The washer cycle is fast and our clothes come out nice and clean! I complain about cleaning the lint from the dryer cycle. It's hard to wipe it off and I wish it was easier to collect. I don't mind wiping it if I figured out what to use instead. I do my best but somehow there's still some lint trapped. My husband complains about the heat vent. It is right behind the cold water inlet causing condensation on the cold water pipe. Avoid putting this washer in a humid environment because it may add to the condensation problem. If you don't use the spin feature for drying it gets really hot. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
