5.5 cu.ft. Mega Capacity Top Load Washer, White

This LG washing machine is a nice upgrade over my older 4.5 cu ft LG model. There are two obvious benefits of this new model that I am already appreciating. First, the larger capacity is welcome. I thought my old 4.5 cu ft model was massive at first, but our family of 4 was able to regularly fill it to capacity. This 5.5 cu ft model has a stainless steel tub that's a few inches deeper and wider, so we will utilize the extra capacity. The deep tub does require a long reach to pull out clothes from the bottom, which may require you to lean down into the washing machine to reach the bottom. Second, this model has a "Turbo Wash" mode that is enabled by default on the normal wash cycle. The printed Owner's Manual doesn't provide any information about this mode, but the online user guide says "Adding this option reduces the cycle time while still providing similar wash performance to the same cycle without Turbo Wash". With the Turbo Wash option, it seems like this washing machine can complete a cycle faster than my old LG machine. This washing machine is relatively quiet, but the more aggressive sounding Turbo Wash mode does seem to make a little bit more noise than what I remember with my older model. But it's not a problem for us, and we're happy to have a slightly faster wash cycle. It seems to do a very good job in the spin cycle, leaving very little water in the clothes by the end of the cycle. If you are installing this in an older home, note that the maximum height of the washing machine lid when open is 57.25". The cabinets in my laundry room are only 53" above the floor, so the lid can't fully open. I had this same limitation with my last LG machine, so will be working on attaching some magnets to the washing machine lid to hold it up to the bottom of the cabinet. This is a really nice washing machine, and it is going to get a good workout in my house.

After turnng on you can download the LGthinQ app. after creating a account, you press the WIFI button for 3 seconds and the app makes all the connections. Very slick operation, I have a bad habit of forgetting cloths in washer and have to re-wash. The app will let you know when washer is done plus a lot of other features. The front panel has all many options with turn knob or touch button controls. These new washer are getting very quite and the agitator really rotates the cloths very well. Very happy with all the new options and wifi!

I’m very happy with this LG washer. From an aesthetic point of view, I really like the Graphite Steel finish. It looks somewhat like stainless, but is easier to maintain. The agitator does a nice job and the 5.3 cubic feet tub is plenty big enough. The controls are fairly simple and definitely well marked. Plenty of options, but not overwhelming, to meet your washing needs. You will not be disappointed with this washer. I expect years of use from it. The energy efficiency is a high point.

LG Electronics Design this WT7405CV Wash Machine to be user friendly. the 5.3 cu.ft. easy to load Stainless steel tub and Agitator is huge. the modern LED controls are easy to read and set. there the Ability to run asst wash loads Normal, Heavy Duty, Bedding, Deep Wash, Pre Wash+ Normal, Delicates, Waterproof also a WIFI Connectivity option. the See Though Glass lids a added plus . to add Soap and Fabric softener is easy with the well marked slide out tray . there 16 possible wash options .

i have never had a washing machine that gets unbalanced so much.. It goes to UE so often. i have to watch what i put in with what.. towels are the worst..

The LG 5.5 Cubic Foot wash machine is designed for a large amount of cloths washing. The tub is enormous and can handle very big wash loads. With a rust proof stainless steel tub, this machine will look good and last a long time. The washer has the LG Thin Q feature which is handy to know that your machine is operating and when it is done. There is also and Alexa interface that you can use to run the machine by remote at a pre-set schedule. The LG App also lets you know when the machine has completed it’s set washing instructions, so you do not forget to empty the washer and have cloths that may develop an odor while sitting there wet. The installation is a breeze with two water connections (hot & cold) and a drain connection for the waste water. The unit plugs into a standard wall outlet and uses a mere 6-amps at full load. The color is nice looking and the finish is smooth and shiny. The washer legs are easy to operate to get a level installation so the machine does not wobble and there are leg clips included should you have a drain pan under the washer. The detergent and fabric softener are filled int a drawer with makings for the correct amount of each. The washer is very quiet and you barely know that it is running. The direct Drive motor has a 10 year warranty for peace of mind. Nice looking, easy to use, is very large capacity, runs quiet. Nice product.

This washer from LG is a beauty with the glossy white finish and it has a never rust tub so it will last and just looks good. The clear and slam proof lid is a great attribute , no more lids banging and possible getting broken or cracked. The washer starts out spinning without water to set the laundry into place then it starts its cycle. The machine appears to move right, left and down, up which I feel helps get the cloths cleaner. The deep fill option came in handy when I tried a king size comforter and it was no problem with washing and spinning the comforter ready for the dryer. The spin cycle I really enjoy because its gets the laundry so dry before I stick them in the dryer. Less time and no chance of running the dryer twice. The washer`s noise level is not bad and not a problem. The LG washer has a tub clean system which I plan to utilize once month. The app worked flawlessly I was impressed it downloaded easily, it’s called LG Thin Q app. You are able to start and stop the washer from anywhere and the app makes a cool noise on your phone when the load is completed. The child lock is a nice feature our kids are paramount.

LG has put so many features into this washer, I don’t think I can capture all of them. First, it has an extremely large capacity of 5.5 cubic feet. It is a top loader,, so no bending needed, or expensive stands to get it to a usable height. To get your clothes clean, it doesn’t depend on a simple agitator, but utilizes a 6 motion wash to really get the clothes moving around. The TurboWash 3D helps get the clothes cleaner, faster. The LG washer automatically adjusts water levels to fit the size of the load, while saving water compared to typical machines. Feel like you want more water than has been automatically used? This LG allows you to add additional water. The see-through lid lets you easily check on the wash, without lifting the lid or disturbing the wash cycle. Do you hate it when you accidentally let go of the lid and it slams shut? No more! This washer has a soft-close lid. THis LG washer is also “smart”. The ThinQ app lets you operate the machine from your phone and check wash status. The washer communicates with the matching dryer to set the appropriate drying cycle. Did I mention that the app can even help with preventive maintenance and repairs, if needed. It has a stainless steel drum, and comes with a limited 10 year warranty. Whew! There’s even more, but I need to wash some clothes.

We have only had this machine a few weeks, but it is fine so far. Our last one, a similar level Maytag, didn't make it to three years, so we shall see. Always, always get the longest warranty on any appliance you buy. It helps a lot when they fail too quickly, which is unfortunately common. One feature that isn't as nice on this machine as our last one, is that the "delay wash" option only works via the app. That was a disappointment, as I am not interested in having to use an app for something that should and could be a button that works solely via the appliance itself.
