Specs Lie
I have a window with a 34” opening. The box/manual/Home Depot site say it supports a max opening width of 35”. The curtains come shy an inch on each side. So now I’m faced with a choice of living with it and stuffing foam in the sides OR have to waste time out of my day to go back to the store and return.

Great unit, on the outside
One year of use, regular basic cleanings, deep clean…. That said, it happens to magically be out of its warranty period and required a disassembly. This design is ridiculous. The filter is only in one section, so only part of the air is being filtered. Might as well just be for show. I honestly would have never purchased this unit had I known it EASILY harbors moisture and the filter is pointless. Keep this in mind when searching for an in window air conditioner. And DO NOT use bleach, only hydrogen peroxide, as this will not damage your unit.

Service
Bought brand new LG A/C, remote was not working. Called LG customer service for replacement and they did not send replace due to it being discontinued. No compensation. Would not recommend buying this product if you want peace of mind!!!

Quickly rusted
I only had the air conditioner for a month and a half when I noticed a large patch of rust on the back. It later spread to the inside, and the rust started staining the house exterior and I had to return it for a refund. I’ve never seen an ac rust so quickly!

Hot in the Connecticut Tobacco Valley in Summer
I bought my LG AC at the beginning of the Summer knowing it was going to be a hot one. I have an LG TV and it is the best TV I have ever owned. So, I figured the AC's must be good, too. I live in a duplex and my part of the house is not large and I mostly need the AC at night. Well, I was right. I sleep like a baby, cool and comfortable. The thermostat is perfect and keeps my bedroom at an even 66 degrees all night long. I have a northern breed dog - a Finish Lapphund - and he pretty much lives by the AC most of the time. The LG Customer Service Line is always available, and the people are wonderful. I will continue to buy more LG products as time goes on.

Fingers crossed
I haven't used the unit yet, but have attached pics of my supposedly new unused unit. I also shelled out for the 3yr extended warranty. Fingers crossed.

Poor fit
Box says it fits up to 35" window. But with curtains stretched as far as they go, it only goes to 33". LG support was good about sending new curtains to resolve. But the new ones are the same length. I put foam I to fill the window. Not a happy customer.

Very accurate temperature.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very accurate temperature. I bought this because I was using an older Frigidaire which had a variance of about 6° between high and low temperatures. If I said it at 73° it would go between 70 and 76 and you can feel those differences. Not comfortable. This is accurate within 1°. Amazing - just set it at 72 and it stays at 72. It tests the air every three minutes on the economy setting and if you need to have the compressor it turns it on automatically. There are no negatives. It’s a compact light weight excellent cooler and quiet. It does protrude into the room in front of the window a little bit maybe 3 1/2 inches which is really no problem but perhaps some people would like it to be flush with the window sill. Nevertheless it’s an excellent value. LG products are incredibly durable and trust worthy. This is a five star product for sure!

It is not the coldest and quietest ac but it is a good one for a small area. I’lol still give it a thumbs up! Love the product!
