Questions & Answers

Are you able to use this stove as a conventional oven if you want to or is it all convection only?

Asked by: candee
You can use regular baking, conv. baking or conv. roasting. I love the "proof" mode because I bake bread a lot.

I've read a lot of reviews that complain about a "clicking noise" when the oven is in use. Can someone explain this more?

Asked by: Davorne
This is probably caused by a relay controlling the burner temperature.

Does the oven display the current temperature as it preheats or only the programmed temperature?

Asked by: Lc
it shows the current temp as it warms and then plays a little tune to let you know when it reaches the programmed temp.

Customer Reviews

6.3 cu. ft. Electric Range with Self-Cleaning Convection Oven in Stainless Steel is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 763.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! I bought this range for the convection and proofing features as well as the smooth top, all of which work great, but there are so many other great features. I also love the blue oven interior that lets you see when it needs cleaning as opposed to just a black hole. The quick clean cycle makes oven cleaning a breeze! Love it! I don't think I have ever had such a clean oven before. Alarms are not just beeps but short tunes that even my hard-of-hearing husband can hear! Oven temp can be switched between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Cook time is another great feature where the oven shuts itself off once the time runs out. I really love my new range, and the price was right, too. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great oven BUT... Purchased this oven two years ago and the electronic control panel did not work consistently. I had an appliance company come and fix it and I was told by LG the they no longer make the part . LG is refunding partial payment for range and I am looking to buy a new one. I am looking at all the other ranges with that aqua lift cleaning and not feeling good about the reviews. I would love to purchase this LG again but I'm concerned about the control panels working sporadically. If LG receiveS this review I would love to hear back from them. I was told they have problems with this control panel on all their models... anyOne else have that problem !

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stove Not happy this happened after the third use. I used the recommended cleaning products. The mark which looks like a burn seems to be under the glass, you can't feel anything on top and the circle around it well that appeared after the cleaning. We were so happy with our purchase now we won't use that burner in case something happens. The oven and the the overall stove is amazing love how things cook in the oven and the warmer plate is cute. But the burner turned us off we also have a fridge and I am scared to install it now. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The LG Range Oven model # LRE3083ST01 we purchased in 2015 has been nothing but trouble. In the first year the burner and main board went out. Luckily we were still under the warranty so LG sent their technician to replace them. A few weeks after the warranty expired, the glass top over the lower right burner made a pop noise and cracked and spread like a spider web. We called LG, explained the situation and told them this seems a factory part defect. They politely blamed us of dropping something on the glass which was 100% false, they simply said "we are sorry" a few times and gently tried to fade their fault. Not to waste our time, We let it go. Price of a new glass top is near $400. Couple month after the new range top was installed the new glass top cracked again. It couldn't happen at a better time but Christmas Eve 2016, with having family over, around 4 pm while food cooking, the glass top made a loud pop noise and broke again on the lower right burner. Here was my experience with LG Range and dealing with the company which took the easy road to blame the customer for their defective part. Now I have an expensive LG range-oven with another broken glass top. My recommendation: Stay away from LG Range with glass top. This glass top is not designed for what is made for.

That decision was made in light of the fact that I have 4 other LG appliances in my home currently. I ASSURE you I will NEVER purchase an LG branded anything from hear on and suggest you think hard and long about making a purchase. It's all about customer service and they have a much to improve on in this regard. Rick M. Conway, MA

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good buy We have been happy with the features for the price. It did take a little getting used to the push button controls but the easy clean trade off makes it worth it! I have been using it for canning with no problem & I like how it holds an even temperature. I like the smooth top, but it could have more speckles so hide smears or later dings, etc. There is a setting to adjust oven temperature & I did increase mine as it seemed cooler than the oven on my old stove. It does take longer to heat up but it is larger than my old one too. I usually use the convention bake setting. It decreases temperature automatically so the time seems about the same. The proof setting is a nice extra as I am gluten free & often bake my own breads. I haven't needed to use the oven cleaner yet - no accidents! So can't say about that at this time. After a terrible experience with Maytag, we wanted to try a different brand. This LG is one of CR highest rated under $1,000. I thought I would like the touch pads for the individual burners however, you have to click the + or - side and click or hold to go up or down in .5 increments. Not a deal killer, but I would prefer a little quicker method like the older dials. My old range had two dual burners, but again, not a deal killer. It is funny the smaller burners being in the rear when you have a large pot on the front burner you are reaching around to get a small pot on the smaller burners. Have not had to put in to an oven cleaning cycle, yet. I like the flat top with white specs vs most are all black, helps with spots. Although no pre-heat cycle, the oven heats fairly quickly. I had an LG slide in range a few years ago and had good luck with it, hence why we went with this unit. I would recommend this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Self Cleaning gets too HOT I purchase this stove. It's a great product if you do not have cabinets with veneer. It has shrunk the veneer on the doors and the drawers next to the stove. It has also melted off the veneers on the inside of each cabinet that is next to the stove
