LG is really ahead of the curve on this one with the door that can tilt or swing. With it tilted out, its really easy to load, as the door works like a chute for the cloths to effortlessly slide in! Opening it sideways gives you full access to the huge capacity within and allows you to easily unload the dry clothes. The interior light is a very bright LED that illuminates the interior quite well! The real test of any dryer though is how well it drys my work clothes. I wear a very heavy canvas like material pants on a regular basis. I found that using "normal" cycle with the intuitive dry-sensing that is built in dried those work clothes easily in 60 minutes. The digital dial is very easy to use and select the correct cycle. I connected the LG thin-q app on my phone by scanning the QR code on the inside of the door. Once connected, it allows me to check the drying status, and if I like I can pause or stop the dryer and as a bonus turn on wrinkle guard as needed. All in all, I find this dryer to be simple to use, and very effective at drying even the most heavy clothes and blankets! The extra room and capacity is also useful for my wife when she needs to wash our large quilts or bedding. This is a very high quality appliance that I am confident will last for years to come!

This LG ELECTRONICS 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large High Efficiency Electric Dryer with EasyLoad Door is my Fifth LG unit I have owned in the past 10 years and the technology just keeps improving. This dryer is replacing my very outdated loud GE dryer . The units build quality is consistent with previous models I have owned and LG's reputation as a leader of innovative features is why my family continues to use this line of premium dryers. In the past 10 years of LG product ownership, I have never had one service call-please note: I have followed all recommended use and care tips in the manuals. This new 7.3 SUPER LARGE CAPACITY LG dryer is just one of many to choose from, but I would like to offer a few helpful tips to consider when comparing this unit to other brands. 1. The lighted drum is a nice feature and a must-have. 2. The end of cycle is pleasant and not overbearing. 3. The door is easily reversable and very large for easy access and the Easyload option is helpful with large blankets and comforters. 4. The see-through door allows quick referencing to the load if needed without interrupting the cycle. 5. The unit offers more features than you will probably ever use at this price point. That is the truth-but it is nice to have extra features if needed. 6. The unit is well-built and the color is awesome. LG has once again outdone themselves with the many features and innovations built into this quality machine. As a long-term LG owner, I highly recommend this unit if it is in one's budget. You get what you pay for and more with this unit. Not to mention a long lasting and low maintenance unit. Once again- I am very pleased!

Count me in for anything that makes doing laundry easier, and this dryer does just that. I like the easy to understand rear controls - normal, heavy duty, bedding, delicates, permanent press, and manual dry settings. I just pick one and go with it! My clothes dry thoroughly in one cycle since the sensor adjusts the time automatically, and wrinkle care option saves on ironing. My laundry room is tight, so the dual-opening door is perfect for this small area. It can be made to swing either left or right and pull down from the door top. It will drop down enough to make loading clothes easier but not all the way down. Plus, the graphite steel color looks great. The dryer drum is interesting in that it has an aluminized coating, which should help with the life of the dryer. Like many dryers, it has an easy to clean lint filter right in front. It is quiet when running and energy efficient to save on my electric bill. The dryer comes with a ThinQ phone app and it can be controlled with Alexa and the Google Assistant.

Got this dryer to replace a functioning 15 year old dryer. This matches an LG washer we'd gotten a year ago. Like the Review Title says, we really like this dryer. It has a bit larger capacity than the old dryer it replaced, yet it's two inches narrower. Now we have two inches extra space in our rather small laundry room! It's much quieter than the dryer it replaced. Since our laundry room is centrally located in the house, this is an important feature and much appreciated. It drys clothes well. We quickly tested it on a load of towels, followed by a load of delicates. Both were dried thoroughly, quickly and with no need to play around modifying drying cycles. Bravo! The inside of the drum is brightly lit, and the lint filter is easily accessible just inside the door in the lower frame, (much better than the top-of-dryer location the old dryer had.) The lint filter can be removed using either door opening method. It remains to be seen how convenient the bottom hinged door feature is. We've been using side hinged dryers for years. If you're wondering, as we did, how far the bottom of the door is above floor level, it's about 13 inches. This allows us to put a small laundry basket in front of the dryer and still be able to load/unload it. Viewed from the front, the vent pipe will more easily route to the left than to the right. There's more clearance provided in the rear of the machine in that direction. The vent outlet is pretty much centered in the rear. It does make the same "end of job" sound as the other LG appliances we have which can lead to "What was that that just finished?" Zero regrets with this dryer!

This dryer replaced an older LG and works great. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that in being more high tech, some of the options of my older model are no longer available. Still highly recommend.
