The LW8021HRSM is the SMART way to keep your house feeling comfortable no matter what the weather is like outside! LG ThinQ technology lets you control your air conditioner with your phone or use with Amazon Alexa and Hey Google to have control with the sound of your voice. This unit ideal for cooling medium rooms up to 320 sq. ft. and you can even add a bit of warmth on cooler days with the supplemental heat option. With 2 cooling and fan speeds and a 24 hour timer you can create the perfect cooling schedule. 4-way air deflection lets the flow of air be directed where it's needed most whether cooling, heating, dehumidifying or just circulating air. If there is a power outage, the auto restart feature will automatically turn your unit back on when power is restored. Other features include a remote control, easy window installation kit, removable, washable filter and a check filter alert.

Excellent cooling solution for small rooms with window access.
Easy instal for two people with basic mechanical skills. Cools 550 square foot garage very quickly. Much cheaper than split system and no holes to drill in exterior walls.

This is the best air-conditioning I have ever owned in my life it gets super cold an the I love the heat this unit provides also it's built with only the best LG really knows how to make their products they spare no expenses when it comes to pleasing their customers. I highly recommend to others to buy this unit it's by far the best ac an heat unit I have ever seen.

                      Great in theory but poorly made
                      I have only had this 6 months and it’s defective and not working. It’s the perfect size and features it is so disappointing. I’m still waiting for lg to do right by me. It’s installed so I can’t get stickers nor can I have a hole in my wall while I work on getting new and finding someone to do the work again during COVID is a nightmare as it is in our property two state away. Not cool. I don’t have time to get back there.

                                Defective Compressor
                                Just like the title says. I set up the unit the same day I bought it, and it seemed to turn on and work just fine. But when I lowered the temperature as low as it could go, there was the rumbling of the compressor trying to start and just as quickly the rumbling ended. The fan still blows, but no cold air. I called LG support as the unit has a self diagnosis program built into it, and they simply told me the machine doesn’t sense any problems and the problem was that it won’t work if it’s too hot outside. Every now and then I can hear the rumbling of the compressor trying to start, but it just as quickly turns off. So I called a friend who fixes ACs for a living and they told me that low and behold, it has a defective compressor.

                                    The air conditioner was very easily installed, and was at a very reasonable price! So far it has worked very well in cooling our metal building that we converted into a Guest bedroom! This unit replaced one just like it that we had had for five or six years but had stopped working!

                                              I had a three year old unit in my window...
                                              I had a three year old unit in my window that was just AC. I decided to upgrade to the AC/Heat energy efficient unit. I receive a daily electricity usage from my electric company. I was expecting to see a lower cost per day, but the electricity cost is the same. My older unit was not an energy saving unit, it ran constantly. The new one shuts off as I was expecting once the room reached the desired temperature. However, as I expressed, there is no cost saving on my monthly electric bill. :(

                                                      I bought my 7500 a month ago and it does a fantastic job of keeping our big bedroom and an adjoining room cool. it is quiet and you don’t even have to get out of bed to adjust anything. It runs quietly. I can’t wait to try out the heater part but won’t do it in this 100 degree weather. Thanks lg
