What are the dimensions, height, width, depth?
Asked by: Curious
36in x 70 1/2 x 31inch I measured the 31 inch from the back wall to the front of the refrigerator. Thus there maybe some gap at the back to allow for hoses and plug. However, 31inch is what I would allow for.

The right door swings out 3 inches on its hinges. The left swings out 2 inches on its hinges. The cabinets must be a minimum of 5 inches back from the front of the refrigerator.

Asked by: Hill2
Hi Hill2. Even though you can get a good idea of how big a refrigerator is simply by knowing if it's a standard size, unfortunately, the word "standard" isn't precise. If you are inquiring if this ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG STUDIO - 24 cu. ft. InstaView™ Door-in-Door® Counter-Depth Refrigerator, Model # LSFXC2496D is available with different dimensions, it is not. The standard width for our InstaView™ Door-in-Door® refrigerators is about 36" and they will have a standard height of 68 - 69"...^IFV

23.5 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator with InstaView Door-in-Door in Stainless Steel, Counter Depth is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Now this is what I call a TRUE SMART REFRIGERATOR where the smartness is directly applied to the ... Now this is what I call a TRUE SMART REFRIGERATOR where the smartness is directly applied to the energy/cost savings and temperature management of the fridge rather than to an LCD showing photos and consuming more energy. I have tested out every feature of this fridge and I am loving it. I am a family of three and this fridge offers more than perfect capacity for us. Main focus of my review is on the brain of the fridge since you can reference other reviews for drawer sizes and measurements. In short, the fridge has 4 drawers and freezer bottom has two adjustable sections along with two sliding drawers. Edibles can be easily compartmented and organized. **INSTALLATION** The installation took less than 20 minutes including removing the old appliance. Home Depot team was careful on my floor and took their time to validate everything was functional once installed. ** WHAT STANDS OUT ** This refrigerator has so much to offer that I don’t know where to start. The appearance is stunningly gorgeous; black silver really gives it a New-Age appeal. My other appliances are traditional stainless but this fridge still blends in beautifully. Since the ice maker is inside the left door, it does not take away any room from the top shelf as it is in other models. With that, I have top three shelves end-to-end fully available to me. The doors do not require any push to fully shut and the freezer door pulls itself in when almost 90% closed. The eye-candy feature is the InstaView. This is not just a “Show-n-Tell”, it is in fact very practical when comes to conserving energy, reducing electricity cost and prolonging food life. Summer time, kids get the fridge wide open just to grab a soda causing a significant cooling escape. With InstaView and double door access, the cooling is preserved when side bin items are accessed. Also, the fact that I can access the InstaView bins from either inside or outside the door is very functional. I say it is well thought and well executed idea that aligns to a low carbon life style. I love it. ** SMART GRID** This feature (the reason I called it a true smart refrigerator) lets the fridge communicate with your electrical company through Demand Response messaging and then adjust the priorities accordingly to consume less energy in peak hours since all electricity is not priced equally. For example, it may not kick in defrost cycle or making ice or adjust cooling system during peak consumption hours and help me earn rebates from the electrical company. That is a true energy saver. I can however override this option and have the fridge ignore the messages. For this to work, you need to register the fridge with your electric company. Company in my area is not ready yet so I can’t see it in action, a bit disappointment there but that is smartly addressed by Seasonal Energy Settings. ** SEASONAL ENERGY SAVINGS ** With seasonal energy settings, the energy usage and cost is lowered by defining a time frame and dictating the fridge not to use the functions that consume the most electricity. For example, I can define a setting that constraints the fridge from triggering defrost cycle between the months of May and October between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm every day. These time settings are fully adjustable right from my cell phone. My electrical company refunds back $1.25 for every kilowatt I save between 3-7 pm in summer season. This setting is at work every day to get me some cash back. Right from the cell phone, I can see daily power consumption and door openings in a graphical layout. It further breaks it down by the fridge and the freezer. Such features that are strictly tailored to monitor the energy, gauge the consumption and save some dollars - are simply awesome. ** SMART THINKQ** I can manage the features of this refrigerator using Smart ThinkQ app. It does have WIFI capability. Once paired then access it from anywhere to manage its temperature, air filters, Ice Plus and energy monitoring etc. Using the mobile app, I can manage edible items using alerts when items get near their Use By dates and even generate a grocery list. I can set the app to alert me for example - every Friday for the items that are about to expire so I know my grocery list for the weekend. Pretty cool stuff I say. ** AUDIBLE DIAGNOSIS ** There is a smart diagnosis logo at the top of right door hinge. First I lock the control panel and then place my phone close to the logo and then hold the freezer button which then starts the diagnosis and that takes about 3-5 seconds. It then shows a detailed report of its findings. Also, for history purposes, it keeps all the diagnostic logs saved within the mobile app. ** Two Filters ** It comes with two filters – one for water and one for fresh air. Both need changing after six months or after 200 gallons (for water filter). Installing the new filters is very easy and home owner can easily do it. Fresh Air Filter is new to me, this is what keeps the nasty odor out of the fridge. I love every feature this fridge offers. It is so far the best appliance I have seen that provides so many features strictly for energy savings and cost reduction. What I have in my kitchen is a beauty bundled with brain. I am proud to own it and happily recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can't even begin to tell you just how much we love our new black stainless LG Studio refrigerator! We love it for both its beauty and its features. The satin-smooth black stainless is absolutely beautiful, and doesn't show fingerprints anything near what a traditional stainless appliance does, and not really at all, that I can notice. A builder that I work with had just recently been mentioning how black stainless was going to be the new "in thing", and we're so very glad we chose it. Everybody that we've had by just loves to play with the InstaView door, both children and adults alike. The newness of it has worn off a bit for us, but love the feature still just as much, being able to view and grab a quick snack of beverage without letting really any of the cold out. The extra height of the ice dispenser is another great feature, allowing even the use of our tall 30-ounce vacuum tumblers with it. This counter-depth model is obviously wider than a standard fridge, to be able to retain capacity while being shallower than standard models. It's the body of the unit that is designed to fit flush to the front of standard-depth cabinets, as obviously the doors need to be beyond counter depth to swing open. The doors on this unit are approximately 4" in depth, which brings the total depth of this unit to just about the same as our basic refrigerator that it will be replacing. Overall, we find our LG Studio refrigerator beautiful, spacious, extremely well-lit, very energy-efficient and with great features. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is an amazing french door refrigerator This LG (model LSFXC2498D) appears to be a 2017 model year refrigerator and builds upon a already successful portfolio of LG French Door refrigerators. While LG offers even larger French Door refrigerators this 23.5 cubic foot model is no slouch. When I spec'd out all the features of this refrigerator I immediately knew I had to finally upgrade. Our household has always had very modest standard 2-door top-freezer model refrigerators with simplicity in design. Models such as this time and time again have proven they are not only remarkably reliable but more importantly allows greater kitchen workflows. Major downside of our current top freezer refrigerator was the limited frills and a extremely dated appearance. Decision was made, new LG French Door fridge ordered and we immediately prepped for delivery day. The day arrived, delivery made and new fridge was installed. Wife absolutely loves this amazing french-door fridge and is continually reading then re-reading the owner's manual just to acclimate herself on all the abundant features and enhancements. Extremely energy efficient compared to our 15+ year old refrigerator. LG uses basic physics to cool and freeze. Cold air settles so what better way than to have the freezer as low as possible? We are a 3-person household and have always had to sparingly stock our 15+ year-old 14 cubic foot (maybe even less storage than 14!) refrigerator due to very limited compartment space. Summer months were especially stressful as we could see and hear the compressor laboring continuously just to cool food and eliminate moisture each time refrigerator doors were opened. Old fridge reliable?...yes at the expense of energy inefficiency, limited shelf space, and a extremely dated appearance. NO more concerns now with this space age LG French Door fridge with every option imaginable..... built-in water dispenser, ice cube maker, space age LED lighting (more on this shortly!), built-in wifi, all electronic controls, remote diagnostic capability, but more importantly huge amounts of adjustable compartment space. I can now personally stock a double 6-pack of beer during the Summer months w/o wife voicing concerns of monopolizing precious shelf space over family necessities . This 23.5 cubic foot refrigerator is cavernous. We now have twice the shelf space using half the electrical usage of our 15+ year old dinosaur fridge. This is my 2nd LG appliance and I am now a convert to the LG appliance family. Average warranty on this LG appliance parts but commendable 10 year warranty on it's linear compressor. Ten years on the compressor motor, 7 years on the actual sealed unit and finally 2 years on parts and labor definitely instills confidence for all prospective LG purchasers. So long as the compressor and sealed refrigeration unit provides reliable cold to prevent food spoilage I am easy to satisfy. Dedicated 15-amp single phase outlet is all that's required to power this appliance. Doesn't sound noteworthy however this high end French Door refrigerator is extremely energy efficient in use due to LG adopting use of LED lighting. Super efficient thin wall insulation, the ability to remotely throttle down both freezer and fridge temperatures via smart phone technology, and partners with your local utility company to passively throttle down electrical usage during brown-out situations. More appliance manufacturers should adopt LG's "Door-in-Door" feature to access drinks and snacks without having to open the main refrigerator door. Wife loves the transparent glass ' tap to light" illumination. LED light once again makes it easy to decide for those prone to excessive window shopping deciding if they want a drink or snack without having to open refrigerator doors. Tapping on the right side door glass brightly illuminates frequently consumed items where you would frequent in any refrigerator. Ingenious, convenient but more important energy efficient not having to re-cool a large opened compartment. We consume huge amounts of juices and milk so these food items are perfect for the "Door-in-Door" compartment of this LG refrigerator. A not-too offensive chime alerts you if any of the main refrigerator doors are ajar or left open and is easily disabled if needed. All refrigerator doors and shelves are easily removed for repairs or scrubbing so be sure and keep all your provided manuals should you need them to jog your memory. I do wish LG would provide both service manual and a detailed parts break-out with all their appliances. Short of the sealed refrigeration unit or worse yet the compressor failing I normally perform my own repairs and preventative maintenance. The owner's manual for this appliance, for example, states homeowner replacement items which includes the water filter canister and the internal filter. Supplied owners manuals provides part number for water filter however the part number for the air filter is missing. Customer documentation should and must include part numbers ... how else can the handy homeowner avoid all these basic expensive service calls? Nothing lasts forever and I expect the ice cube maker to eventually fail along with both evaporator and condenser fans. I would have gladly paid for a service manual so if LG just so happens to be reading these reviews?..... how about it? LG is doing all their customers a huge disservice by not supplying a detailed parts listing such as part numbers for the evaporator defrost heater coil, evaporator fan motor, rubber door seals (these are high wear parts for all refrigerators depending on your model). Short of a failed compressor and/or sealed evaporator/condenser the task of refrigerator repair is not that all difficult ...been doing it for years! The top refrigerator door mullion could use a stiffer spring as I find myself occasionally having to reposition the mullion in the "door open" position just to insure both top refrigerator doors will close correctly. Would I recommend this LG 23.5 cubic foot French Door refrigerator? ..... absolutely! It is quite pricey however you get everything imaginable in a refrigerator for the money. You will be pampered even possibly spoiled by all these refrigerator amenities!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not quite there Bought this last month and enjoy it but ... yup, the dreaded but.... It seems like the on door ice maker isn't designed correctly. We have a layer of ice that forms along the seam so we have to chip it off if we want to take out the storage tray. Despite the size, it doesn't fit as much as our previous frig which was actually smaller sq footage-I expect we will learn to pack it better. And finally, the doors are so deep that you need both fully open in order to access most items. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

What a Beautiful Machine The pictures on the various web sites I've investigated do not do justice to this state of the art refrigerator, it must be seen in person to be truly appreciated. It has so many cool features I'm not sure where to begin. The Home Depot ad does a good job of detailing all the features offered so there's no need for me to relist them here. Of special interest to me are the following. First, be conscious of the size. It stands a full 70-1/4 in. tall and 35-3/4 in. wide, this won't fit in every kitchen. It's 31 in. deep including the handles and the archway I had to pass through was only 28 in. Getting it into the kitchen was an exercise in "thinking out of the box." I've owned this refrigerator for only two weeks so all I can offer are first impressions. Issues of durability, if there are any, will not reveal themselves until later. My last two French-Door refrigerators had water and ice in the door, which I love, but they had a brushed stainless steel finish which I learned to hate. The inevitable fingerprints are constant and very difficult to remove. This box is satiny black and does a good job of hiding fingerprints. The Insta-View door is what first drew me to this frig. Keeping the most frequently used items in this compartment allows easy access without having to open the right side main door. A double-tap on the glass illuminates the LED light for this section. Like my other French-Door refrigerators access to the middle crisper requires opening both doors, a minor inconvenience. I especially like that there are three shelves on the left door. My old box only had one due to the ice delivery system. Speaking of the ice maker, this one gets the ice in the glass neatly unlike my old one which dropped ice in and around the glass. This machine can link with a Wi-Fi network and be controlled through a smart-phone app. I use a dumb-phone so it's a nice feature that I'll never use. These are my highlights, the most important things to me. I've owned an LG electric range for over a year and I'm very pleased with it so I'm sure I'll be equally as happy with this LG appliance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice fridge. Lots of room for food storage. Loaded with features. ... Nice fridge. Lots of room for food storage. Loaded with features. My wife and I have been using the LG Refrigerator for a couple of weeks, and we love it even more than we thought we would. Prior to taking delivery of this fridge, my wife and I considered all the other major brands, and compared features and price. Among the brands we considered, this fridge has one of the tallest ice and water dispensers, a good size ice maker, the water filter is accessible from inside the fridge, allowing for easy replacement, and is the largest capacity counter-depth fridge currently available. Although similar price points, none of the other fridges offered a door-in-door with InstaView, which allows you to quickly see what's inside the fridge by knocking on the glass panel portion of the right door, without opening the door. The quality of this fridge is excellent. The first thing I noticed is that the back of the fridge features a solid metal panel with no grill to collect dust, and the water line run neatly from the top to the water inlet connection at the base of the fridge; nice attention to detail. The interior LEDs are bright and produce plenty of light. The lower freezer drawer is large and deep with 2 sliding bins to keep frozen foods neatly organized. The fridge runs very quiet. Typically a new fridge requires 24-hours to reach cold temperature, but this fridge was 37-degrees cold within a few hours of plugging it in. The air inside the fridge is crisp so food will stay fresher longer, giving us more chance to consume it rather than having to toss it away, saving us money and trips to the grocery store. One thing to note it that this fridge is 36-inches wide, but requires at least 2-inches for each door swing. If locate in the center of a kitchen or counter, no problem and door-swing is not a concern, but since the location of my fridge is against a wall (on the right side), and this fridge is replacing a slightly smaller fridge, I needed to modify my upper and lower cabinetry to provide for the extra 2 inches required for the door swing on the wall side. It was a fairly major undertaking, and required cutting the granite countertop and rebuilding the cabinetry, but the effort was well worth it. The black stainless steel finish has a bit of sheen to it, but is not reflective, resists fingerprints and smudges, is easy to clean, and there is plenty of adjustable shelving, storage bins and room inside. Being that this fridge is counter-depth, it’s easy to see what’s in the fridge because it’s shallower than a full-depth fridge where food items can get hidden in the back. The only issue we have experienced so far with this fridge involves the ice maker which sometimes fails to drop ice but the issue is easily rectified by opening the ice dispenser, removing the ice bin and reinstalling it, to free frozen ice so it can be grabbed by the auger and dispensed. This is a very heavy fridge; maybe a bit too heavy, but the delivery guys were able to get it into the house without damage, thankfully. Great fridge overall! Loaded with features. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This LG STUDIO 23.5 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator with InstaView Door-in-Door has a very clean, modern style with simple lines. It has a great looking black stainless-steel satin finish that is supposed to be fingerprint and smudge resistant. I LOVE the knock twice to illuminate and see inside the mirrored glass panel. The InstaView’s easy access, Door-in-Door with ColdSaver Panel reduces cold air loss to help keep food fresher longer. It is great for getting items that are used often without actually opening a door. Just knock twice and the light goes on, you can see in clearly, see what you want and get by only opening the front section of the right door. The InstaView glass panel is made of 3 panes of tempered glass to keep cold air in and hot air out. That door is easy to load from the inside with a push to open door that give you access to the door shelves and keeps the compartment sealed when closed. Because of the depth of those doors, the shelves are very shallow compared to other refrigerators. I cannot get a 12 pack of soda in longways like I can a little larger refrigerator. The doors do not open as far as I would like. I’m not sure how I’m going to get the drawers out to clean. We’ve only had it a couple of weeks so I’ll need more time to figure those things out. The counter depth saves space in our cramped area. If I still had the four children at home this would be too small and never work. It’s perfect for a second family refrigerator or for just a couple or single person. The ice maker is the slim SpacePlus Ice System that has become so popular. It does save a lot of space in the freezer but takes some space from the refrigerator. The freezer is spacious with deep drawers and 2 shallow shelves. I can get a lot in there. The handle to the freezer is very nice, just lift and pull. The drawer slides out smoothly. The water and ice dispenser in the left door is very nice. I liked the old design where the water came out in one place and the ice in another. I hate when I go to add ice to a drink and someone has changed the dispenser to water!! With that said, it works very nicely. This is Energy Star certified and exceeds the new 2014 federal energy standards. The description says “All LG STUDIO appliances are backed by LG's exclusive 2-year warranty. LG confidently backs the Linear Compressor with a 10-year limited warranty” Warranties are becoming more and more important with the increasing technology and price of these appliances. I love this refrigerator but it is small. I don’t think it would work very well for a family. The same features come in larger LG refrigerators. If you need to save space, this is a good one

French Door Refrigerator with InstaView Door-in-Door in Black Stainless Steel Counter Depth has many useful and convenient features. The feature that we have found most useful thus far is the Cold Saver Door-in-Door partition. It is basically a mini-fridge within the door that you can access directly from a mini-door on the right or from the inside of the refrigerator. The door on the right side can be opened to the entire refrigerator or by pushing a button on the handle to the Cold Saver partition. This feature makes it convenient to access commonly-used items thus saving energy. When you open the mini-door, the items are at a convenient height. How do you know if what you want is in this compartment? This is where the InstaView Knock-on feature is needed. If you knock on the dark outside window twice, a light comes on inside the Cold Saver so that you can see what it contains so that you know whether you need to open the entire door or just the Cold Saver. Initially, I thought that the InstaView was just a gimmick to impress your friends but had little practical value. However, it is necessary if you what to see what is in the Cold Saver compartment without opening the door unless you have an ironclad memory. If an overhead light is on in the room, you can still see through the window without knocking on it but only faintly. The window does not allow you to view the items on the bottom shelf of the Cold Saver. Other useful features include easily adjustable half shelves. The front of one half shelf can be retracted so that you can place taller items on a shelf below it. It has three crisper drawers two of which can be set for either fruits or vegetables. A drawback in getting to the middle crisper is that both refrigerator doors must be opened. We have liked the convenience of the icemaker for an assortment of tasks from filling a glass to filling a pitcher to getting crushed ice or a glass of cold water. The water that enters the icemaker is filtered. You can easily access the ice bin in the door to empty it into the freezer bin or a cooler if you wish. One inconvenience is that you need to use the ice maker frequently or else you need to empty the bin and turn if off. That is a must when on vacation. The freezer compartment is well designed with a large tray and a pullout drawer and a large bin with an adjustable separator allowing the bin to be divided into two sections. All the items are readily accessible. The freezer compartment is lit. The color is black stainless. My wife does not like black appliances which seem to be in vogue. Henry Ford once said that you can have any color car you want as long as it is black. What goes around comes around - at least to appliances. Black stainless is a good compromise between the darkness of black and the starkness of stainless. It is also smudge proof which is an advantage. , Magnets will not stick to the front of this refrigerator.
