Energy Storm 1,600/1,400-Watt Gasoline Powered 98cc 3 MHP Portable Generator

Assembled fairly easily. Instructions were not great, but adequate. Started up first time very quickly. No gaseaks or problems of any kind, unlike most other Chinese generators. Good 1 / 3 year warrantee.

Been running it 24 hours a day adding oil every other day! So far she is holding up very well! We will see how it lasts it burns thru 5 gallons of gas a day that is pricey by the month! Now if I get this gas vaporizing working this will be life changing for disasters and wherever portable power is needed!

picked up at store,package was intact.wheels were defected&208 volt cord was missing.call lifan customer service & they shipped out new wheels& power cord,got them in a few days.assembled generator (pretty easy) & ran for ten minutes to test everything worked fine.(pretty quite for a generator)did not come with a battery,went to auto parts store bough a battery($45.00)easy install worked great,.so far so good,will see with next power outage.Seem to be good value for the money.Wish it had a 240 volt outlet, other than that nice generator to get though a power outage.Bought home depoits extended warranty for $80.00 for extra 3 yr coverage.((parts&labor)for peace of mind.

Easy to setup and operate. This is my first generator and I'm very satisfied with how easy is to start the unit. My wife was able to start the unit without problems. .

Received box and it was sealed in black plastic (A Big +). Added Oil about 1/2 quart. Filled to top of oil dip stick. Its nice that they have Oil plugs on both sides of engine as you can watch oil level rising from opposite plug hole. Added new gasoline and noticed they have a fine mesh filter screen in filler opening (A Really Big Plus ++). Turned gas valve on (behind air filter) on top of carburetor. Moved choke to right position - (Closed) (its directly above air filter housing) Turned Running Switch to "ON" position. Took slack out of pull starter. On Second Pull it started. Immediately pushed the choke to open position. Increased RPMs to mid range using aluminum colored handle (just below air filter housing). Let it run for 15 minutes. Tested with Hand Drill for 5 minutes. The model I received is CA CARB Compliant (Ordered in CA) This by far In My Opinion is worth the extra $100 than the HF generator as: - Its twice as powerful - Holds more Gas - 4 Stroke (No Mixing Oil with Gas & No Smoke) - Much, much Quieter ! - Better Warranty !! - Has Rubber Feet to help diminish any vibration rattles. Next Day - Started on First Pull !!!!!!! LOVE IT ! You can't go wrong with this light weight portable generator ! Will put it through more rigorous work later this week. Called the company to Thank them for a quality product and tell them how much I love my new Lifan 2000 generator !!

I had thought about buying a portable generator for several years now. This generator gave me 6 outlets for 110/120 volts of current. by combining two outlets together giving me 220/240 volts. I hooked up my radial arm saw to the generator and this is the first time I have used my saw in years. with 110/120 volts it was not strong enough to cut through lumber quickly. Now it cuts without slowing down at all. I can put the generator into the back of my SUV and go camping, put electric tools of any kind in the back and work on projects away from home. I should have bought this sooner. This is the first and best item I have bought in years. I have enough extension cord to put the generator outside the garage, or SUV to run while using the tools.

After my generator took a tumble off my trailer I needed to get another, and this was a good replacement. It has plenty of power for what I need at 5500 watts, and plenty of outlets. The only thing I can complain about is that this one is a little louder than my other one was. It's not obnoxiously loud, but it is noticeable. I have to say, for a brand I wasn't familiar with, this seems to be a good generator. Keep in mind, that you will need to purchase a battery to use the electric start feature. they are, however a common size and easy to find.

This generator runs most of our 3 story home during an outage. We can run the well pump, refrigerator, furnace, a couple flat screens and lights with no problem. I really try not to push the limits by using unnecessary electronics but I'm sure we could use more. The footprint of this unit is smaller than expected. It's narrow enough to go through a doorway which means we can roll it out to the back without removing the wheels or having to go all the way around the house. This is especially critical during a snow storm. Also, I assume the smaller footprint is one of the reasons why this unit is also considered "RV Ready". My unit was not shipped with a manual, however the manufacturer sent me one without question. This electric start generator does not come with a battery or the required 32oz. of 10w-30 motor oil. To find out which battery you need, the manual points you to the battery chart which lists model number "12N12A-4A-1" which is a wet pack battery made for motorcycles, but you can just search for a 12V-12ah battery (5.3125 in x 3.1875 in) and there are many to choose from. If you choose not to purchase a battery you can always use the pull start. Ours starts right up with one pull and it runs smooth. I recommend it for sure.

This generator comes fully-assembled. Construction is all metal with a tubular frame, and the size is about equal to that of a small microwave oven. The installation instructions state that oil is included, but it was not included, however you do receive a spark plug removal tool. The instructions cover several models of generator, some of which have a wheel kit, and some which require an acid battery for operation, neither of which is included or required for use of this generator. While the instructions contained helpful information, I would have preferred if they were specific for this generator. Since there’s a separate reservoir for oil, no need to mix gas and oil. 20 ounces of 10w30 motor oil is required for operation. There is no fuel gauge. The 98 cc engine is equipped with a low-oil shut down and an automatic voltage regulator that the manufacturer claims delivers cleaner, more reliable power and protection against surges. The control panel located in the front of the generator has 2 - 20-volt 20 amp standard outlets. The recoil pull start is easy to operate, usually turn the engine over on the first or second pull. Noise level is low and very tolerable. I was standing next to the generator and hblem carrying on a normal conversation. The generator burned clean and did not produce and dirty or smelly emissions. This generator isn’t designed to power delicate electronics, but it will provide power to things such as a refrigerator, A/C, space heater, television and components, lamps, small power tools, a radio and a toaster. Overall, this is a nice little generator. The build quality is excellent, and it includes features found in more expensive units. The small footprint and weight at only 51 lbs. makes this unit very portable and is a perfect size for tailgating or emergencies and as a source of power.
