Q:Needing to bond PVC wainscot panels to bathroom wall. Some areas are just sheet rock and some are painted textured sheetrock. Is this the glue for me? Still need to tack the wainscot panels with nails?

WARNING! Tube bursts
Day 1: Tube cap unsealed as product flowed without issue. Cap resealed as directed.
Day 2: Unsealed cap yet gel would not dispense. Unclogged with a metal stake point. Substance flowed yet viscous. Flow stopped yet as I struggled to dispense, tube erupted and glue squirted, making a huge sticky mess on my fiberglass project.
Highly UNrecommended.

Thank you for your feedback. Yes, this will happen despite best efforts to seal the tube once opened. The Loctite PL Premium Polyurethane Construction Adhesive is an air /moisture cure product, so curing is to be expected after the seal has been broken. Placing a small screw in the nozzle prior to taping can improve the chances of pulling out the cured portion to use again. However, keeping the product long term may not be possible.

Great stuff.
Saw a video on deck building & PLP in joints of deck boards as waterproofing. Hubby & I just put in all new floor boards. After big rains, we power washed before we get our house painted. Redwood was all rotted. We took rotted boards out & got new redwood. It took 3 days. The pic shows the deck & joints. We taped the boards & squeezed the PLP inside & pushed the boards together (tape kept boards clean). Hoping this waterproofing tip will keep it from rotting. We do lots of DIY projects together.

It weathered thru all the seasons.
In 2020 I used this product to place solar deck lights on my driveway. I wanted to change the direction of the lights, plus two had stop working. The adhesive hold was so strong I broke a couple of finger nail (it's ok). I had a time plying the lights free, but that only proved the strength of the product. It did what it said it would do. 2 years strong had I not made the changes I did.

polyurethane adhesive does not adhere
Seemed to work great. Product said it could be applied to wet surfaces but I made sure to use it when temp higher than 40°F. Week later, I had to move one a couple of inches—was prepared to have to use a putty knife, but the rubber stair tread came up without EFFORT! Further, the "adhesive" came up as a strip all separate!

Bonding surfaces must be clean and free of frost, standing water, grease, dust and other contaminants which can interfere with bond development. Furthermore, this product does bond to many rubber compositions, but not all and may have encountered bonding difficulties to the rubber you used. Great Product
Used this to affix granite plates to a monument at a Veterans Cemetery. Worked better than expected, but as advertised. Plates were placed on a vertical service.
