Q:With this lock set, if its locked With key on one side can you unlock it with key the other side and vice versa. I have this lock on my fence and when you lock it on one side with key you can?t unlock it with key from opposite side to open it.

Latch is well built and solid. The instructions are easy and concise. Everything is included, along with a template to attach to the post to spot your marks before drilling. There are a couple options you can set on the latch to allow entry with a key or without. When drilling the latch hole, make sure you are going in straight and not on any angle. Lokk Latch has many latch variations available if this one might not match. You’ll be very happy!

I really like Lokk Latch's gate latches. The latches are made of a high quality plastic with a metal latching mechanism. The latch is very easy to install following the supplied instructions. I installed mine on a PVC gate that the old latch screws had begun to loosen in the plastic. The locking mechanism is much better that the old style latches that you would use a padlock on. I lowered my review because of the pricing, this is an expensive but high quality gate latch.

The lock is very nice. Awesome! It will take a house door lock key set and have it re-keys to the house key. The lock is accessed on both sides of a fence door. The install has clear directions and the inner parts need to be trimmed to fit. Will fit all thicknesses of door. The lock looks great and is like a polymer coating on the surfaces. The latch is very simple and no padlock required. Key it to your (Kwik-set) house key. The latch is simple and the whole lockset can be swapped to be on either side of the gate. The latch is like any gate latch to keep the gate closed. Lock is engaged (locked) only with the key. Can’t lock yourself out. I really like this latch lock.

Fairly easy to install. The gap between the gate and post is important. Nice functionality. It's a quickset type key, so rekeying is within that scope without replacing the entire cylinder. So far durable (about a month of testing so far).

We have a driveway gate that we wanted to secure and this latch was perfect. Our gate is made of 2 x 4s and has cedar pickets on both sides so it is about 5 inches thick. This latch was pretty easy to install. I did make up a small bracket for the latch side as because the pre drilled holes in the latch hit right on a space between the cedar and the 2 x 4. I attached the strike side to the aluminum bracket, painted it black and used wood screws that went into the 2 x 4.

There is a serious problem with the minimum post size of 1" (25mm) used in the official dimension drawing. I used this drawing, checked post sizes, gate gap, etc.. with a digital caliper no less all before ordering.
Sadly, Yes you can fit it to one inch square tube posts. However, you will be making modifications. I cut of a lot of the plastic and relocated mounting holes and it worked, it worked well. However, for a problem free install I would suggest that the minimum depth (front to back measurement) of the post be no less than 1.5" and the width should be no less than 1.25".
Why?
A: On a 1"x1" post the through hole is 1/2" (12.252mm) and this hole rides right along and a little bit into the inner wall of the post; additionally the outer push button assembly and the latch assembly have bits that overlap and make installation impossible with just a 1" (25mm) depth.
Note: The photo of the modified install shows some rough edges. I had to get this done quickly because the night was nearing, so I have not yet had a chance to take it apart again, buff up the edges and I also need to polish the through hole that is a wee bit into the side wall of the post because the button catches on it a bit..
I know this sounds all negative but you'll notice I recommend the product, it works quite nicely. Just beware!!! The dimensional drawings are lust a little bit wrong and are not to be completely trusted
