I sold my stock in Home Depot
This is not a review of this particular product but the product is tied into my overall makeover project and this product is part of that experience. Like I said I sold my stock in this company and feel bad for the people who remain invested in a company that used to be at the top of the food chain in retail whether online or in-store. Now they do not even deserve one star. This experience that has cost me thousands of dollars has been a nightmare from the start. From people in the online customer service department who have absolutely no product knowledge or skill set to discuss products even at a basic level. When you call back to try and return an item they often lie and say that a credit was issued just to get you off of the phone. This has happened to me on more than one occasion and I was never able to leave a review of my experience as the recording indicates when the call begins. So there has never been an opportunity for me to leave valuable feedback with a system that is controlled by very weak and non-trustworthy customer service agents. I am glad that I had to experience the current Home Depot situation first hand or I would still be holding paper on a company that I cannot see having a good future. This company is on its way out. The retail experience is very consistent with the online store. There is hardly anyone in the store who knows even a fraction of product knowledge and rarely knows where basic items are stocked. I was telling staff after visiting the stores several times where items were as I was given wrong information on where to go to find something, very frustrating As an investor, the best way to get a sense of the company that you invest in is to have a customer experience. What I have learned is that HD has weak management and low standards for hiring and third-party vendors who are unreliable and also misrepresent the truth. I do not have the patience or time to get into complete detail of all of the mishaps and the lack of follow up by the people involved let's just say that I ordered some counters in June that were supposed to be installed in 12 days after a few fumbles in communication and the wrong countertops being made a tentative date for the install is September 15 and that is a tentative date. I have had my bathrooms in disarray for this long of a period of time which essentially was the entire summer and continues to be that at least for the better part of another month. I had to put up some family in a hotel as the bathroom was not finished and I canceled several family gatherings as a result. I have still not gotten any response on what HD would be willing to do about it. I just get managers and staff telling me they will get back to me and I never hear from them. This is sad for investors because it just shows how disinterested this brand is with the customers who buy from them. Sell your stock if you can because this company does not care about you or your investment. If you do not believe me find out for yourselves Good Luck you will need it
