Aqua-Proof Prep is a rubberized liquid membrane designed to patch and waterproof many types of surfaces. Its multi-use nature makes it well-suited for a wide variety of applications where a waterproofing solution is needed. Some solutions include repairing cracks and leaks, sealing joints and flashings, waterproofing under tile and stone, and waterproofing a shower pan liner. This monolithic flexible membrane provides excellent performance when used as a base coat over existing surfaces. It also performs extremely well when continuously immersed in water and can be applied on horizontal or vertical surfaces. May be used for interior and exterior residential or commercial applications. It applies and dries light blue.

Hi Gabe, yes you can use an airless sprayer to apply the Aqua-Proof, here are the instructions: AIR PUMP METHOD :The recommended equipment is an airless pump with pressure of 1,500 to 2,000 psi. A fluid delivery of 1 to 2 gallons per minute with a spray tip of 0.026 to 0.035 will be adequate. Wait 24 hours between coats. The hoses should be at least 3/8" inside diameter and of the high-pressure rate type. If the hose length is more than fifty feet, a larger inside diameter will be required. Only use a gas powered sprayer. The electric sprayer can burn down.
Hi Jonthan, the Aqua-Proof Prep has a light blue color, but it has to be top coated with anything, it should not be exposed in the sun for more than two weeks as it may crack.
Hi Home Depot Customer, the Aqua-Proof Prep 1 Gal. Waterproofing and Crack Prevention Membrane , is to be used under the tile and not on top.
Hi Basement, yes you can use the Aqua-Proof Prep Waterproofing and Crack Prevention Membrane on a concrete basement floor, underneath a carpet pad and carpet.
Hi Jims, Yes you can use the Aqua-Proof Prep where the floor and block wall meet. Then you cover it with paint or whatever you are going to use.
Hi Aaron, Aqua-Proof is primarily designed for roofing and waterproofing applications and may not be the best choice for drywall surfaces. For drywall, especially if you are looking for a paint or primer, consider using a product specifically formulated for interior wall surfaces. We recommend that if you need waterproofing, Lanco® Dry-Coat can be considered as it is a high-performance, alkali-resistant waterproofing paint suitable for a variety of surfaces.
Hi Ardy, yes you can apply the Aqua-Proof Prep on top of the Killz.
Hi Natalie, yes the Aqua-Proof Prep or Primer is very good to apply on the concrete slab, before installing the tile on top.
