We have three Lasko silent heaters in various basement rooms...
We have three Lasko silent heaters in various basement rooms and usually only operate 1 at a time when we're in a particular room. We purchased our first Lasko silent heater three years ago, and then purchased 2 additional heaters. They warm up the room in a few minutes and will automatically shut off to maintain a comfortable temperature depending on what we're doing. If heater fan noise is a distraction, this is the heater you need.

Heats my very large living room quietly. I bought 2 for my living room, but one has been sufficient so far. Produces a nice, radiant heat without blowing. It is a rather large unit and I suspect it would heat an average sized room really (almost too) well. I purchased these to supplement the heat since we have solar power, we would like to use the gas heat less. The timer feature is nice, since I can give the room a heat boost for a few hours without remembering to turn it off. It is warm to the touch, but doesn't burn.

No regrets
I'm very happy with my decision to purchase this product. Nice, sleek stream-lined design; attractive; solid construction, yet light enough to transport easily. And, yes, truly silent. Purchased primarily to use for late-night TV/movie watching in my living room, assuming I may hear an occasional indication of the unit - perhaps when its thermostat clicks it back on, at least. Not so. Warms the area fairly quickly and simple operation. Also, fast delivery to my door. I recommend this heater for smaller areas.
