About This Product

The Latex-ite Airport Grade + Driveway Filler Sealer is a commercial strength, polymer modified asphalt emulsion-based low-VOC formula designed to beautify and protect your blacktop pavement. This non-skid sealer fills hairline cracks (1/8 in. or less) and is polymer fortified for added durability. Helpful hints before you seal your driveway: 1) Figure out how many pails you need by using the coverage information below in the bullet points. The size and condition of your pavement will dictate how many you need. 2) Flip pails overnight prior to application (it will be much easier to mix in the morning and will ensure consistency). 3) Do the project all at one time without starting and stopping. 4) Check the weather and make sure no rain is forecasted and it is at least 55 degrees F at night (a cold driveway will not allow the sealer to cure properly). 5) Check latexite.com for further tips and how-to videos. (Please note: if product is not available to order in your area, it is due to nighttime temperatures.).

Highlights

  • Coverage on smooth/previously sealed driveways: 400 to 500 sq. ft
  • Coverage on rough/porous or unsealed driveways: 300 to 400 sq. ft
  • Remember: clean your driveway thoroughly so sealer will bond, and make sure you do not seal when it is cold outside; it must be at least 55 degrees at night for sealer to properly cure and last
  • Do not seal in early spring or late fall as the sealer will not last - it will not cure properly and may track
  • Ideal for sealing hairline cracks in asphalt/blacktop driveways and walkways
  • Polymer fortified for strength and flexibility
  • Premium EZ-stir, non-skid formula saves time during application
  • Low VOC, coal tar free, PAH compliant, soap and water cleanup
  • Backed by 5-year warranty

          Very Poor Quality
I used Latex.ite Airport Grade Driveway Sealer last year. After one year, many areas turned white and unsightly. Despite following application instructions, my warranty claims were rejected. The company blamed improper use, claiming the sealer was applied too thickly, and refused to acknowledge quality issues. They consistently blamed the customer rather than addressing the product’s shortcomings. Terrible product and company service.I will never purchase Latex.ite driveway asphalt again.

            Brown sandy tire marks
I let this product dry for 4 days before vehicle traffic and for whatever reason I have brown tire tracks being left on the surface that feel sandy. Idk if this didn’t adhere correctly or what. Really disappointed in the outcome. Note, I did follow instructions and cleaned the driveway beforehand.

Coverage was not what the label stated.
Overall, we are happy with the Airport Grade Sealer. We have an older asphalt driveway that hasn’t been resealed in quite a while. The label stated that on a rough surface, 1 5 gallon bucket would cover 300 to 400 square feet. We have about 780 sq ft so 2-3 buckets should have covered it. It actually took 11 buckets to cover the whole surface. We were a little disappointed in the misleading coverage amount as labeled. We did spend a day and a half prepping and filling cracks with their products.

                Manufacturer customer service terrible
Terrible product normally hire companies to seal my driveway. However, decided DIY with this product and 8 months later 70% of it cracked and flaked off surface. HD couldn’t do anything to help because my credit card used for this transaction was stolen later and I don’t have a record or receipt. Called manufacturer several time no response. Corresponded via email but no response to my questions. Horrible product and even worse service. They owe me $600. I caution everyone to not buy this product. My last and final step is to escalate at HD. They are a good company.

Two coats and I’m very happy with the results. I used 14 buckets for two coats on about 3700 sq ft of asphalt with lots of alligator cracks. Fixed the bigger cracks with trowel patch first then wait a day and do two coats of sealer.

                  Works like a sealer
Use every few years. Goes on easy. Biggest thing follow the instructions and prep the drive way. Like anything it's all about the prep. If you don't clean the driveway before you seal it, it's going to peel up. so make sure you either power wash it or wash it down with hose and a brush. I also do a lot of work on the cars so little oil here and there. I use purple power on the driveway prior to sealing it to help get the grease stains up.

                    Great sealer.
Great sealer I purchased 6 buckets to seal my driveway and made it towards the end then went to home Depot and picked up one more bucket to finish the job. Overall great sealer just take your time when applying I had my driveway completely redone two years ago and it was the first time it was sealed since installed. Came out great I added before and after photos

Our circle drive with large parking area was installed replacing gravel in the summer of 2021. In the summer of 2023 we purchased just over 40 buckets of sealer and have been VERY happy with the results. The key is to spend a lot of time cleaning the drive. I blew it, swept it, and power washed it multiple times to insure all the dirt etc... was gone. Then used a large squeegee to spread it, and a thick brush on the edges and small cracks. We live at 7,400 ft in the Rockies and thus I wanted to wait until I had a chance to snowblow the drive and see how it weathers. It has held up great. I receive compliments constantly on how good it looks. I hope it will last for multiple years and when it is time to seal again I will use the same process and product. Pictures show before, during and after.

                      DO NOT BUY !
I bought this sealer does not last , starts flaking off in about 6 months . Now after the first winter its all flaking off . The container states will last 4 years only last about 1 year do not buy not worth the time to install ! Now I have to pressure wash the parking lot to remove the sealer. What a waste
