How many hp is this tiller

Asked by Hheywood02 April 17, 2021

Most outdoor power equipment is now rated in cc's verse HP since is more a actuate description of the actual power output. The estimated HP on our 46cc 4 cycle engine is about 2 HP.

How do I adjust the tine width

Asked by diamond April 12, 2021

You can easily remove one section of the tines by removing the cotter pin, removing the bolt and sliding the tines off the axle / drive shaft. This will reduce the width about half or about 15" to 7". Reinstall in reverse order.

Asked by Ed March 18, 2021

It runs on normal unleaded fuel, non mixed. I have a station that sells ethanol free which is what I use on my mower. I did find that if you follow the instructions the choke can stick closed. I had to remove the air filter and knock it open.

Same issue. The problem is dirt gets behind the pull start. You need to take the cover off and blow it out. Pain in the behind.

Is it possible to exchange this for a new one? I used this item twice and the times stopped turning.

Asked by cultivator March 7, 2021

yes is possible to return policy and buy new another .

Thoroughly impressed!
I purchased for a new garden, 16'x16', so relatively small. I borrowed a lawn tractor tiller to break through sod, then used this small tiller to break up sod/dirt further to finish. I was impressed by the power, how well it worked, and how easy it was to use. The ground was damp, so it was clumpy, but the legend force seemed to have plenty of power. Set up was EASY, mostly already put together; you have to bolt on the handle; start-up was 2 pulls after gassing and priming. As stated, the ground was damp, so I've used it several times (Tilled, let air dry, then tilled, and repeated every few hours). So far, this unit has been straightforward and easy. After reading other reviews, I'm wondering why others had such trouble? Maybe they mixed the gas? Which you don't need to do, also is a plus - no mixing! The wheels are a great design; easy spring-loaded to get them out of the way, no messing around with wing nuts to put them in the up position. I'd recommend this unit so far; I've had no issues and was again impressed by the power. I did find it easier to till while walking backward and letting the weight work for you; it did a nice job.

Out of the box worked fine for 30 minutes
One the first day I assembled the Legend Force Cultivator, the engine started up on the first pull and worked well in tough soil. When I stopped for a water. break, the recoil starter would no longer engage the engine. This is apparently a common problem. Several other reviews describe similar experiences. I'll be returning it to Home Depot.

A cultivator that did not want to work.
I just bought this cultivator this past week, you would think it would work fine. However, I set up the cultivator about 10 minutes and it worked fine at first. After using it for about ten minutes it died, it would not start. I took it back to Home Depot and ask for a refund or exchange luckily they had another one there so I got a new one to take home. home depot's customer service is really good by the way. I unboxed the new cultivator and got back to work but 10 minutes later it too died. I have no idea what is going on with it but I can't even till a small garden. I can only assume that the engine overheated as there's nothing else visibly wrong with it.

Tines/Blades: Are a bit small but works well overall. The tine/blades are welded together in two's so that you can only narrow the cultivation width by installing only one side of the blades to the machine if you do not desire the full width. Also hard to clean the tines when necessary as the pins to release the tines are located in-between the tines on each side which when cleaning is required, are covered by roots. The Honda model has the release pins on the outside so that they are always easy to get to and all four sets of tines are separate from each other so that you can easily remove and clean the tines or adjust to a more narrow cultivation width. Wheels can be left on when using and can be flipped down when you want to roll away. Much easier than the Honda version in my opinion. Throttle cable did come loose from carburetor while idling but that was relatively easy to reinstall. Have not had any problem with starting other than that the owing to the 46cc piston it can be a hard pull but not a real problem. Note that he above are strictly MY opinions and observations. Considering that the price was over $100.00 cheaper than the Honda, the Legend Force 46cc cultivator is a good deal.
