Highly recommend
Very happy with this purchase. Its sturdy and looks great on my back deck. I did seal the wood for added proctection which brought out the color even more. I also added a weed barrier to the bottom to prevent planting soil from falling through the bottom cracks. I poked holes in the barrier to help drain excess water.

I have to say I am very very disappointed in this product. I ordered two of them, basically you build the frame then insert the base that supports the "garden bed" in, well the two support pieces of wood that hold the base of the bed together are horrid. The screws are so thing, one of the support pieces, all 3 screws snapped and I basically lost all my soil, and this was literally not even 24 hours after I put the soil in. I'm shocked this would be something Home Depot would carry. I had two basically use two car jacks and support the base back up and then use longer and thicker screws and screw the support back into please. Even so I'm probably going to be buying some 2" x 4" and building a better support for the "garden bed" base.

The most positive thing I can say about this planter box is that it was fairly easy to assemble. Unfortunately the wood is of very poor quality and splits easily when you screw the included screws into it. I'm not sure how long this will last, especially being outside in our cold winters here. We did apply a coat of Verithane to it so maybe that will help. This definitely wasn't a good value for the price. Also the bed of the planter (where you place the dirt) is made of wooden slats with gaps between each one so you need to cover it with weed cloth or something similar, otherwise the dirt will fall through the gaps between the slats. If you're looking for a garden planter that will be durable for years to come, you'll want to pass this one up and keep looking. I'm surprised that Home Depot would carry something of this quality.

Love my new herb planter! It was pretty straight-forward to put together — all the parts were there, the fasteners were properly labeled and correctly associated with the construction instructions. My only note would be — when you are attaching the legs to the box, pay attention to the direction of the holes on the lower legs for when you attach the shelf (last step of the construction). I reversed two of them and ended up having to drill a new hole in each. I lined the box with weed covers to help retain the dirt and give the untreated wood a little protection. It’s working well.

Product color was different from description and photo. Although product was easy to put together, we had read a couple reviews where the product had failed but decided to take a chance as others had rated it high. We did add plant fabric to keep the dirt in. Disappointment as only one month in and our bottom collapsed! We are now looking for a way to support the bottom so we do not lose our plants. Would not recommend but if you do decide to purchase then definitely find a way to add support to bottom before you plant.
