Best would be a 12/3 SJ or SJO rubber cord.

I’m not sure what your trying to accomplish but MC is not rated for outdoors, but you’d be better to change to SJO cord and the use this cord cap. Hope this helps

It will if it is rated for your equipment and that appears to be the case. AC current carries variable voltage so, in this case, 125v is the high end.

This is a 15 amp cord end, it will not accommodate two 110 volt wires. One other thing is if you the two lights add up to less then 15 amps then connect the wires in a "J" box and then from the "J" to the cord end.

Will this work on a cable with approximately .500 inch diameter?

The neighbors kid somehow was able to break the plastic housing of the plug on a window a.c. unit. It has those buttons

Asked by Starfish July 9, 2018

Broken housing on a plug should not affect the operation of a piece of equipment unless the wiring itself was pulled loose from around the screws inside the plug. Loose wiring inside the plug could result in sparking or a potential fire. If the housing is broken to the point where a person could make contact with the wiring or metal inside the plug if the plug is handled then a person could receive an electrical shock. If this plug with a broken housing is plugged in on the exterior of a home, water or condensation could short out the plug, tripping your circuit breaker or requiring a reset of your GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter Outlet) provided you have one. These plugs are cheap enough and easy to install. Open the plug. Take photos of the wiring inside with your cell phone so you know which wires go where when you go to install the new plug. Looks like all you will need is a Phillips screwdriver to open the housing, undo and redo the wires. Existing wires will already be stripped. Be safe. Have the neighbor's kid or his parents pay for the cost of a new plug. Hope this helps you.

is this a waterproof plug, suitable for outdoor use?

It's not waterproof but it's suitable for outdoor use. Extension cords are always used temporarily ( typically same day) but never under water nor in wet environments.

An adaptor is not recommended. Replace the outlet with a 3 prong to accept the plug. Especially important with fish tank (water). Better yet the circuit should be a GFI (Ground fault interrupt)

How do you connect the cord?

A job best left for a pro if you dont understand how a 3 wire extension cord works.
