No these are not, but commercial grade, tamper resistant receptacles are available. Include "tamper resistant" in your search terms if that's what you need and leave it out if you prefer and are permitted to install non-tamper resistant receptacles. I prefer commercial grade receptacles simply because the time and cost to have even one worn out "standard grade" receptacle professionally replaced far out weighs the extra cost of even a houseful of commercial grade devices. I am a professional tradesman with electrical experience, but I am not an electrician. Be sure to check your building code if you are going to install non tamper resistant receptacles anywhere.
I just looked online & it looks like you can not do a online order for 400 of these. If I were you I would go to my local Home Depot store & see if they could help you with the order. The employees at Home Depot are very helpful.
No you can not . On top off that you should never wire a receptacle in a pass through configuration . There needs to be joints in the wire with tails feeding the receptacle .
The wire goes between the screw and the copper plate, I usually loop my wire about 2/3 around and hook it around the screw. It helps to hook the wire are the screw in the direction the screw turns. So, when you tighten the screw, it further loops the wire.
no
Yes, it will replace a two prong, however, to meet current code requirements you will need to run a ground wire to building ground... Also, the black wire will go to the hot side of the receptical and the white to the nuetral side. Ground to the green screw. Be sure to "bond" (connect) the receptical-ground to the metal box.
No. You need a receptacle rated CO-ALR. As an aside, consider putting an AFCI breaker on any circuits with aluminum wire, this will detect arcing.
Hi Thank you for choosing Leviton. It has Double wipe contacts.
It does come with brown color, I saw it at home depot
