I bought 3 and had a licensed Electrician install, although very easy.This connects over an existing duplex outlet, once the duplex is removed.It mounts right on the duplex box. so no additional work is needed.It does stick out of wall 1.25 inch or so. Looks god and strong.Doubles your outlets.

This is a nice way to add more outlets without changing out the box. I installed it in a bathroom where my wife uses a curling iron and a hair dryer, plus an electric toothbrush charger, and she no longer needs to keep unplugging something to make space.
In my case, the GFCI function is provided by a GFCI outlet in another bathroom, so I still have protection. If the outlet to be replaced has GFCI, this will not be a suitable substitute.
Inexplicably, Leviton chose to put knockouts only in 4 out of 6 mounting holes, leaving two corner holes always open. In my case I removed the center two knockouts for the mounting screws and two corner holes are left open. It would have been better if all holes had knockouts, but it isn't that noticeable to a casual observer.
Overall, it's not as chunky looking as I feared it might be, it is easy to install, and feels secure on the wall. No surprises.

Installed these in my workshop, where I was constantly having to swap plugs between lights and power tools. Now, with the extra plugs everything can stay connected. One more little problem solved.

It would have been more helpful if the wire holes in the back were spring loaded to grip the copper wire. The way the outlet is designed , I had to use the screw lugs to grip the wire. Works fine and it does the job for which I purchased it. It is very helpful to double your duplex outlet to 4 outlets. It would also been helpful to have one more screw lug on each terminal (black and white wire).
