Yes, you can enable that function on top of the switch.
Yes.
Yes , the box should be grounded through the conduit or Romex then upon mounting the switch will be grounded .
A single pole switch should not have a Neutral tied to it. You should only connect the hot wire, and the switch leg, or 'Load' wire. Either terminal could be used for either wire, as long as they aren't tied together.
Yes, just turn it upside down first.
Yes, gas lighters draw very little current. No problem.
This is very mixed up listing by Home Depot. I purchased a 10 pack and all the switches have a grounding clip as the image shown above and it is stamped spec grade. Model 5601-2TM (SAN M36) and is labeled Preferred. Installed in grounded metal boxes without a grounding pigtail and test out grounded. Love your channel Sparky
There is no neutral wire on a switch. Hot goes on the bottom and the switch is marked with the word top.
If it is replacing a 15 Amp switch, then it should work fine. Check your current switch to be certain.
If it's put in correctly (hot and neutral wires on the right) ON position will be up. If a switch is ON in the DOWN position it's either installed upside down for a single pole switch or it could be a 3 way switch.
