I would go to the light bulb's website to see if your bulb is dimmable. Many LEDs are not rated as being dimmable. Many LED packages will state whether you can use them on a dimmer circuit. I have only recently seen LEDs that you can dim. You may need to change the bulbs to ones that specifically state the they can be dimmed before installing a dimmer.

My understanding is that one switch should be the three-way dimmer and the other a standard three way. So you can dim on one switch but turn on/off from both switches.

So easy to install!
My old fashioned dimmer switch bit the dust, so I chose this one to replace it! It was SO easy to install and looks so nice, I think I’m doing the rest in my house! And it was super fun messing with my electrician-trained husband (not home to do it for me), acting like I didn’t know to turn power off at the box in the basement or what wire colors attach where. Lol!!

This switch has three possible colors. It is not just white: the package includes two other faces that are easily changeable to light almond and ivory. The packaging and this website almost hide that advantage from you. I nearly failed to buy this really nice dimmer thinking it only came in one color. That said, this seems to be a really good product. It feels more solid and operates more smoothly than many other dimmer/button combinations. I used it to replace one of a pair of three-way switches in my stairway when I changed the lighting over to dimmable LEDs in a fixture. Before buying this dimmer, I read the reviews and wondered about the small percentage of people who had bad luck with dimming LED bulbs. After installing it, I also had problems: the bulbs that had been almost TOO bright were very dim, even with the switch at full brightness. Hmmm. Here's the lesson I learned: I swiched out those three super-cheap (Chinese, bought online) candelabra bulbs for some Feit LED bulbs I had in a different lamp. Voila! They adjusted nicely from dim to bright, and looked great. Then we noticed-- they produced an annoying buzz. However, we also had some decorative, vintage style LED bulbs in a chandelier that we'd recently purchased at Walmart (their Great Value brand). We put them in the fixture with the new dimmer, and it was perfect. - Nice and bright, full range of dimming, and no noise. However, the decorative Edison style bulbs were a bit too amber. So we returned them to their chandelier, went back to Walmart, and bought three soft-white LEDs for under $12 and tried them. Everything is now perfect. The Great Value brand LEDs (also made in China) had no issue with this Leviton switch. In fact, the second of the two 3-way switches at the top of the stairs is a lighted switch, which can be a problem with LED bulbs. In this case, no problem at all. Here's the point of my litany: if you're dimming LEDs, don't cuss the switch before trying a different bulb or two. By the way, Leviton mentions in the instructions that you can find a list of compatible bulbs at their website. I'm planning to install a few more of these dimmers in the house, and if I find any issues, I'll update this review.

Let there be light(at least as much as you want)
This is a pretty good dimmer. Dimming can be a bit lagging, but probably the bulb I am using. It installes quite easily and is attractive. Use in our bed room. Will dim all kinds of lights, including LED, CFL and Incandescent. I would recommend to anyone looking for a dimmer switch.

It got the lights on!
This product is installed in the 3-way mode with standard lightbulbs in the fixture. Instructions were reasonably clear, but this isn't my first switch installation, so it could be familiarity that makes it all look pretty simple. The only thing that was not really covered well is whether the two 'runners' needed to be connected in exactly the same way as the old switch had them. Some online sources say that they do and others say that they don't. I put them back in a random way and that didn't work, to I conclude that a replacement situation requires the wires to be reconnected the same way they were initially. This model's predecessor had some pretty unhappy users, but I was not among them. The reviews did give me a moment's pause about using the Leviton brand, even in an updated version, but this has not been the sorry piece of work that some thought the IPI06 to have been. That's good because I've still got several others installed throughout the house and really don't want to replace them. Overall? If the first model didn't satisfy, this one should do the job. The CFL/LED-Incandescent switch is straightforward and easy to access, but not so easy as to be changed accidentally. Nice work, Leviton.
