Are these installed with screws? If so, what size?
Yes they install with standard included cabinet knob screws - 8 x 32 X 1. Worked great on our new 3/4" Frame Cabinet doors. If you intend to use them on drawers, you may need to purchase longer screws do to the added thickness for the drawer box plus the drawer face.

What is the installation process on a drawer with no pre-existing holes?
Ariel, Thank you for your question. We recommend using a template to mark the holes and then using a 3/16" pilot hole for the screws. We have a template available that can assist with installation. Check out model # AN0251C-CL-U. Best, Customer Care Team
quick process, drill hole and screw in but screws are too short a bit, not well designed.
