I live in a moble home so the cabinet doors are a lot different than normal because of the material used to manufacture the cabinet door itself but if I remember a 1/4" bit. I hope that helps

Can these be painted? We have navy blue color strip on our backsplash and I'd love our knobs to match.
No I very much doubt you could paint these. Get a wood knob and spray paint them.
