    Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your interest in our D80624E-ZP-W. This Slide is not designed to be used as a bottom mount - only as a Side Mount only. The weight will prevent it from functionally properly. Best, Customer Care Team

A:  Alan, Thank you for your question on the Liberty 18 in. Full Extension Side Mount Ball Bearing Drawer Slide (1-Pair). You will need to use an 18" length slide and might need to use wood backing on the back. If there is a face frame, it is going to require some form of socket for mounting in the back and that's were it would make up the extra room. Best, Customer Care Team

Great product. I use these in so many applications. Drawers, especially the heavier ones that need bearing full extension like theae. Note they do not have the “soft close” feature that many do. Ive even made a DIY drill press that can move 24”. Cost me around $200 with these and the drill, where a 16” drill press starts at several hundred. Ultimately you want a good heavy duty extension set, i would recommend these.

These drawer slides are well built. Three stamped and formed metal pieces for the drawer slide. There are ball bearings between all three slide pieces for free rolling motion. The full extension feature works well and reveals all the drawer contents. Attaching it to the cabinet is easy with multiple mounting options. The piece that attaches to the drawer is removable from the slide. These are not soft close but they do have a rubber bumper at the end for a cushion.

Okay lets be clear, i gave this 4 out of 5 stars because this slide isn't slow close. I thought i got slow close slides so i was a little disappointed at first, however these are still a great update for my 1980's cabinets. I was a bit nervous to update because it required new tracks etc, screwing in more holes and getting everything level, but it was actually a breeze. The directions were super clear and easy. Measuring 1 1/4 inch from the bottom of the drawer worked. I thought, it can't really be this easy can it? but it was. You will need to drill some pilots for the new screws and tracks. Super easy! i was impressed with this process.

I use these drawer slides for many builds - used shorter versions for a custom kitchen, a custom butler’s pantry, receptionist desk, and kitchen island. These are stout, bear weight well, slide smooth, and are easy to instal. These are super reliable and with the ball bearings work great. I like the full extension because it lets you access the back of the drawers without having to reach up under anything. I keep a few of these on hand for projects and couldn’t be happier with them. You can adjust them up/down or front/back depending on which screw holes you use. I use the Rockler Universal Drawer Slide Jig for installing these and pre-drill the holes with cabinet hinge bits.

The Liberty 24 inch, Full Extension, Side Mount, Ball Bearing Drawer Slide is a big part of a project that I'm undertaking. I am making a pop up bar that will use the drawer slides to go up and down on. A linear actuator will power the up and down motion and the rails from the drawer slides will guide the pop up bar. Mounting the hardware is very easy with the provided instructions. The slides are made of 3 pieces, that part that mounts to the drawer is removable from the ball bearing section for easy mounting. Very sturdy pair of slides.

These drawer slides are a very high quality product. They slide open and closed very easily. They were easy to install with a few know how's and they fit well. It came with all the necessary screws for installation. They fit regular sized cabinets. I do think they could come in a smaller width for other applications. They are a very nice addition to my cabinets.

Full extension with 40 ball bearings per side. 100 pound weight capacity per pair. I am using this for a shop table that has my table saw and router. Very easy to install and the instructions provided give all the details on the amount of clearance needed. It also has a nylon friction fitting in the back that hold the drawer closed from vibrations, which is critical on a drawer under a power tool.

My wife and I remodeled our kitchen about 14 years ago. It was a complete remodel, but one of the things I would do over again if I had the chance, are the rails attached to the drawers. I really don't like the fact that I still have a hard time reaching all the way to the back of the drawer that holds our silverware. Now, however, with the new Liberty 24 in. Full Extension Side Mount Ball Bearing Drawer Slide (1-Pair), I can extend the drawer all of the way out for easy access.

I'm building a new computer desk and storage. These will be on the printer storage drawer for inks and paper. I needed some fasteners that can carry the weight of paper and other printing materials. If the picture comes out you can see it has some very nice steel ball bearings. They are also full extension drawer sides. Once the shop gets above freezing they will be installed. They come with mounting screws and very clear instructions. I would recommend for people that don't do this often to get some drawer mounting jigs (like Kregs).
