Does this door catch come with a matching plate for the door?

Yes. And a screw to attach it to a wood surface as well.

What is the pull force needed to open this catch? 4lb? 6lb?

I don't know the pound pull force, but it holds on strong. It holds a solid pine warped cabinet door tight.

(What's this)
This magnetic catch is a bare-bones double magnet catch (there is also a single magnet version) that attaches to any steel surface or to the steel plate that is included with the magnetic catch. The frame of the magnetic catch is made of aluminum so this catch is suited for outdoor use if you replace the steel screws with stainless steel screws. My installation is to keep a louvered door on a cushion box closed.

(What's this)
This small magnetic door latch is quite strong. It can be used for many different purposes around the house like a kitchen cabinet door, an old hutch door that won't stay shut. Use it in the shop to keep the power tool cabinet shut. It is easily installed with just two screw for the catch and a small screw for the catch plate. It is also adjustable for a firm fit. I used mine to keep the door of an antique pie safe closed.

It does the job, but it’s a bit loud when closing the door. The magnets have more wiggle room than necessary, allowing magnets to slide a bit as the metal piece on the door gets closer which causes an extra bang even when trying to close the door gently because babies are sleeping in the next room.

I was unsure the catch would provide sufficient magnetic strength to hold a large (and slightly warped) wood frame screen door closed. The door is 7' x 3'. The catch has been in place for 2 weeks now and works great!

Very good cabinet door catch in my case! I got this magnetic cabinet door catch and this item proved worthy of my expectations with a strong hold. I have upper cabinets with canned food items and earthquakes have been on my mind; so this door catch really does have a strong hold and mountable virtually in any direction. I believe this will help in case of a tremor to keep those canned items from flying out of the cabinets. A very good value for a quality product.

(What's this)
It was easy to install and has a strong magnet which helps in keeping the door closed, you might need to place some directions or show them a web site for people that have never used one before. I know it's not hard to do but I have used them before and some could use which part goes on first and things like that to help them install them with no trouble.

(What's this)
Let me start by saying I live in a cabin built 25 years ago. The kitchen cabinets were built on site with tongue and groove pine panels. Over the years the doors have warped and do not close fully, especially in the winter when the humidity levels are super low. I tried one of these magnetic door catches in the hope that it would pull the door closed. Much to my delight it worked! I am going to get more to put on the rest of the cabinet doors. Great product.
