second one that has had issues 1/3
Unfortunately they look like a nice pump the first one lasted for about a year the second one only lasted four months first one quit working the second one somehow got water in the electrical.

I was happy to see that Liberty Pumps standardizes its products. I replaced an old less powerful Liberty Pump with this one. The standardization made installation of the new pump a piece of cake.

This was my first attempt at replacing a sump pump....
This was my first attempt at replacing a sump pump. It was very easy. I added a back flow preventer and a Union to make it even easier next time. The pit was already there so it was just a matter of removing and replacing. Pump was delivered on time. Packed securely and it works well.

I replaced my old Liberty 230 Series 1/3 HP Submersible sump pump after 24 year with a date code of 10/95 on it and it still works I just needed a spear in case of a emergency. (ALWAYS HAVE A BACKUP!! ) I read the average life expectancy is about 10 years, but they recommend most pumps should be replaced every 5 years. Good reliable pump and fantastic quality.

This pump was in my house when I moved in 9 years ago. We have flooded basements all around us, and this thing is a monster that just keeps working even when it's literally going most all the time like with all the rain and our house being positioned down hill.
It's a beast, buy this one if you're stuck having to buy a sump pump.
