The innovative design eliminates the need for step ladders and other unsafe devices when changing your light bulbs. It comes with a feather-light 4 ft. pole that can easily reach most ceiling heights and has a patented universal thread in the handle that enables it to connect to another extension pole or broom handle for higher ceilings. You can make numerous bulb changes with the included adhesive pad. A smaller sized topper and replacement pads are available for long term continued use (sold separately).

  • 1 adhesive pad
  • Ideal for easy lightbulb removal

No more climbing to change our LED lightbulbs! We found this by accident and it works surprisingly well. The pole is light, modular and well-designed. The non-metallic material ensures it is safe near electricity. The threaded ends allows you to connect multiple poles to reach higher ceilings. It comes with clear instructions on how to use and once we successfully completed a test lightbulb change, we become instant fans.

I always wanted an easy way to replace light bulbs without a ladder ,easy and safe. I think this is it.I was very not feeling it would work ,but it does ! I started doing flushed bulbs in my basement ceiling which I have to stand on a ladder usually . First it does take a little patience to realize how it works. You have to grab the bulb in the close to center. You peel off the adhesive cover at the end, put it on the center of the bulb and twist it out.It sticks to the bulb! When reinstalling new bulb you must again place it on center of bulb, put it up and twist it in . When it gets tight you wiggle the adhesive end and it disconnects from the bulb. Replace the cover on the adhesive till you use it next time. Nest item!

This "Lickety Split" pole with light bulb changer is unique in its design but I did not find it as useful as the traditional telescopic pole bulb changers with the "claw" attachment on the end. The end attachment to this device has a peel-and-stick adhesive that sticks to the bulb for installation but removal can be tricky. The problem I encountered was when I tried to release a floodlight bulb after installing it, the adhesive was so strong that it almost pulled the socket out of the fixture. For testing purposes I placed a regular incandescent bulb on the end of the sticky and it held well and the surface area was not large enough to cause a problem removing. Overall, this just doesn't work for me. I maintain a large building with lights as high as 15' and I would have to attach a telescopic extension on this 4' pole to make it reach but the sticky factor is a determent. This product may be useful some small household applications but not for me.

When I first tried to unscrew a bulb, the pad tried to unscrew. Had to tighten the set screw. The tool worked fine but there are some limitations. The "Sticky" pad sent with the unit requires at least a R30 opening to insert the pad to the bulb. Bulbs that stick out of their housing by as much as 3/8 inch should work. My picture shows bulbs that worked and some that failed. In the "No" section - upper left - This bulb looks like it would work but the surface is dimpled to disperse the light. The bulb is heavy and dimples do not have enough surface to hold the bulb after it is unscrewed; Florescent bulb -- At the point where the pad touches the bulb has a bubble of glass. The bulb fell sideways when unscrewed. If the sticky surface had a circular ring of adhesive or a 3/8" hole in the center, it could work. Also if the pad were a nearly flat concave cone it might work for these bulbs. Next row - small bulb -- not enough contact area. Ring or hole might work; Large white bulb - this bulb was heavy near the screw part and needed to come out and in horizontally. it tilted sideways so was hard to re-insert.; Last bulb again had too tiny a tip to hold.. Hole might work. Another item: The bulbs I tested were from dusty environments. The sticky pad seemed to loose adhesion as it got dirty. Wiping the bulb surface before removing or installing would be a good idea.

It's a little expensive, but well packaged and SUPER NEAT. Strong construction and well put together/ designed. However, I was surprised that it doesn't look like it has an additional grabber type mechanism for incandescent bulbs, or fragile CFL bulbs. It looks like it can ONLY grab spotlight-type bulbs, or bulbs that are strong enough and have a large area for when the lickety split grabber tries to press up against it.

This product came exactly as advertised and is, as advertised, light weight. A question I would have is how many bulbs could one expect to change with one pad before having to purchase a new one. I would also wish that the pole was extendable so it could telescope out to a longer length. I still have to get on a ladder to reach the living room ceiling lights. I like the bright green color as it’s easy to find in the garage.

The lickety split ls light bulb changer is a good idea, but the adhesive pads will not work on regular light bulbs very well. Works fine on reflector bulbs that are usually in recessed can light fixtures that are straight above you but is difficult to use on outdoor flood lights that are at an angle. The adhesive pads are a good idea also but seem pricey for round circles of two sided tape, which I don't think will last 30 uses as stated in the description.Overall its ok, but not as practical as other light bulb changes available at Home Depot.

This light bulb changer works extremely well. In fact, the sticky surface is so sticky, I would recommend touching it to the light bulb gently to ensure that the bulb will be released from the bulb changer without stressing the glass too much. The sticky surface has a protective cover which is re-applied when not in use. The cover has a warning not to use with hot bulbs. I think that's very good advice. The bulb changer rod does not extend. It is four feet long and intended for bulbs in 8-10 foot ceilings. The changer also is light and easy to control. This nice little tool will make changing my bulbs much more convenient. I highly recommend it.

The LICKETY SPLIT LIGHT BULB CHANGER TOPPER AND POLE KIT is perfect for replacing light bulbs, especially the popular canned/recessed lamp bulbs that are so hard to change. It’s definitely a big step in the right direction. There shouldn’t be any further need for climbing ladders to change light bulbs as this tool uses a double-sided adhesive pad on the top end of its pole to attach to the lower surface of the bulb for removal and installation. It comes with a long enough handle to reach the recessed lamps in my kitchen, but they’ve gone one step further. They’ve attached an additional screw-in port at the bottom of the handle as well to extend it further with another pole if necessary. I talked to the manufacturer and they said, “If you keep the pad clean and replace the protective cover on the adhesive pad between uses it should be good for about 20 uses.” How many recessed/canned LED lamps have you had to change? For us, it has only been only one, so I’m expecting THE LICKETY SPLIT LAMP BULB CHANGER TOPPER AND POLE KIT to last for many years. They also said, “The replacement adhesive pads are available through The Home Depot.” I know once you use it you’ll find it to be the safest, easiest, simplest way to change light bulbs, especially the canned/recessed variety.

Good idea that works as described. You attach the green round threaded flat section to the pole. The adhesive pad is strong enough to handle indoor flood bulbs. The pole is threaded on both ends, one end male and the other female. You can extend the pole length by connecting 2 poles together. I usually have to get some kind of a stool or ladder to replace ceiling bulbs. On a stool my shoulders can start to hurt from having to reach up above my head to accomplish the task. With the pole you can basically work at chest level depending on the height of your ceiling.
