Is there one place I can go to get info on the wear layer for each color/pattern of Lifeproof LVP? Why is it so difficult to find the wear layer?!

AnswersThanks for your question. In general, like wear layers are grouped together on homedepot.com. For instance, Semi Sweet Oak has a 22 mil wear layer and it is grouped with Elk Wood which also has a 22 mil wear layer. Normally, the products have a technical data sheet attached on the product page that shows the wear layer but this one doesn't. The only consistent way to get correct information would be to call us. (866) 843-8453. I will also talk to our product support team to see why this info isn't on the page and see if we can't get it added.
What is the difference between this product and sterling oak? Are they the same color or different?

AnswersThanks for your question. Sterling Oak and Gray Birch Wood are the exact same color. The only difference is Gray Birch Wood has a 22 mil wear layer and Sterling Oak has a 6 mil.

AnswerJust an up date, transitions did not come in until September 20th. Floor is in and it looks beautiful and transitions match nicely. But before ordering I would make sure that there is no back order on the transitions. We were told they would be in 2-3 weeks after we ordered the flooring and they weren't in for almost 3 months!

AnswerThanks for your question. Each color has a minimum of 4 unique plank patterns but each box is boxed randomly so we can't guarantee what mix you'll get. Some of the colors will have a little more variation than others.
Does the Georgia Clay have a WPC or SPC core? What are the components of the core?

Great product. I was glad I ordered the 15 year commercial warranty with the thicker wear layer (only available online in my area). I installed 600 square feet in my basement which gets a lot of traffic from grandkids. It installed easily and is very high quality. I tried the "score and snap" technique to cut to length, but found that far too hard. The material is very thick. I used a 12" radial arm saw with an 80 tooth blade. It cut like butter. The step-down transitions were easy to install in the cement with small screw-head Tapcon fasteners. The transitions snapped into the metal channel fine with the slightly bigger screws.
22 mil wear layer but...

Only a handful of Home Depot floors that had a 22 mil wear layer. I wanted something neutral, like the photo of the product. In real life the product coloring is busy and looks very fake. I did not return the product because it’s only for a basement rec room. I will use area rugs to take away from the crazy design. Also, the written installation directions counterdict the accompanied video directions. The written directions say to stagger the planks like a brick layer would, while the video says NOT to do this. I wish they would correct the written diections.

We just installed it this week and couldn’t be happier. It makes the whole house tie together & is way more comfortable on your feet. It was was easy to install, says my husband & he is very happy with the color choice. A very rustic & modern style that gave the house the makeover it needed.
